No only D1 (seating requirements). If we win today, Glenvar will come to the park.

It's VHSL seating capacity rule because some D1 schools have terrible visitor seating. I understand it but hate it for RC. They have room now at the nest.

Last years champ & undefeated Trojans fall..Essex shut out Rappahannock 22-0 a month ago in Warsaw. The Raiders will play Buffalo Gap (who won Region B as the Five seed) by knocking off Riverheads., of course that winner will get to face either the Eagles or Blue Devils for the title.

Good game but I’ll take Grayson, equal match physicality, more athletes for Grayson. Also, take Buffalo Gap over Rappahannock, so Grayson vs Buffalo Gap for state….interesting matchup, have to see who’s healthy after next week.

Grayson Co does have some very good athletes and more depth so that is why I have to favor Grayson Co.

Grayson has the best run defense I’ve seen this season in 1A. If Rye Cove finds success passing the ball they can keep it close. If the plan is to ground and pound Grayson wins by 14+

Cove has then on the ropes last year, just missed some opportunities and Grayson made them pay.  One score game that can go either way.  Hopefully D comes out on top.

I think I read on here somewhere it has to be on a neutral field for Class 1.

New rule this year that 1A state games must be on a neutral site and must be on turf.  Crazy to me that they can stipulate that at just one level.
