Maybe but from what I saw in one game he had no discipline with those kids

That could be true but I’m under the impression he tried and the athletes bucked and even an assistant or two. It’s hard to right the ship when others are making holes. Kicking two players off team seems like a disciplined move. Either way, hopefully they get a good person in there if he has resigned.

I agree.  Not sure if bringing back Harris would be the answer either.  Tough situation.

This is going to be controversial, and I may be dead wrong, and will take some licks, but how do you clean house with half of the fanbase, if the source is actually true and he actually resigned?

Tazewell hasn't been right since Dave Litz left decades ago. Ive heard the stories about parents/fans on "wanting control" to a whole other level. I remember many years ago when Colobro had thought of coming back, but it lasted a couple of days due to once again, overwhelming fan/administrative control that is Far Beyond your normal fanbase. Something tells me much of Tazewells problems are related to nicely put, a difficult fanbase or bunch of people in town that are just far more fickle or more difficult than most others. Its been going on for not a few years, but decades at Tazewell, and whenever a portion of their fans are questioned or the topic brought up, the default isn't self reflection. Its Doubling Down.

The former coach at Tazewell didnt have great discipline for his team. The new coach tried to install it, and he obviously was blocked or not supported at some level (if source is correct from initial poster.)I don't know what level.

Hire the former coach again and  be content with the 6-4, occasional 7-3 ceiling, and the usual 5-5. Or, hire someone that actually knows xs and os, installs discipline, have enough of the fanbase and administrators do a big self reflection and Get Out Of The Way, then you turn things around. The turning around part hasn't happened in well over 30 to 35 years, and something tells me the "Get Out of the Way" part won't happen either with this new go around.

Tazewell since 1990 should be Better than they what they have been. Has a rich history dating back to the 50s. They simply should have been Better over the past third of a century. And yes, I think a huge portion of that responsibility rests on a decent size portion of the fanbase (not the entire fanbase, but large enough of a chunk of it) to make a difference.

I don’t live there, but have heard throughout the years about the things Fairlawn cat in posted. I’ve heard of the lack of discipline for almost as long, before really seeing it with my own eyes this Fall.
As a result, the Bulldogs have suffered in every major boys sport, including baseball which became the focus throughout the 1990s and the first part of this decade.
If not for the talented softball pitcher, and some individual track athletes, girls sports have been the same.
It blows my mind considering the past and likely current talent in the community, but certainly there are deeper cultural issues behind these results. It’s as if they sold their soul for the 1986 state title and Lou Peery (RIP) was the only factor delaying the curse.

That’s really unfortunate if true. Discipline has been an issue but was handled lightly. Now that I’m out of it, because of my kids have graduated, it’s a different perspective just as a fan. I truly hope they dig down and find someone that wants to build and stick with the program and will also stick to their guns with discipline and respect.

This is like all those conspiracy theories & rumors floating around about what’s his name. 😂 We’ll have to check Tazewell Personnel changes on The Voice next month to see. 😂

Wait until you hear the news that comes out tomorrow.

This isn’t a Tazewell problem, btw. From what I’m hearing he brought it all on himself.

I’d keep a close eye on the Voice
