John Marshall.

I see that John Marshall is playing in the Arby's Classic.  They are 3-1 and are still playing teams from across the country and a few Richmond Cuty teams.  Im wondering if they still have a bunch of players left over from last year.  I had heard a bunch had transferred to Petersburg.

Hope they lose every game they play. John Marshall and Liberty Christian are two of the biggest frauds in the VHSL.

Those are definitely the top two but you also have Grayson County coming in at 3rd place

The biggest Fraud in the VHSL is..........the VHSL. They allow it.

Yet they dropped the hammer on Brookeville for something that was a much more realistic reason for a transfer.

Their stars followed White to Petersburg but a lot of their bench players are back, plus they added a good private school transfer. Days of being a national power are over for now but they should still be a tough out in Class 2.

I believe all 5 starters for Petersburg are not from Petersburg.

Yeah.  I still believe they will get the best talent within the city limits, since Richmond kids can choose where they go.  The out of state recruits will now be "moving" to Petersburg....but they had better do it in the 8th grade with the new rules

Someone who truly moves won't be impacted by the rule next year though.  It's just those already enrolled in a school system.   If so, every person who moves into the state of VA will have to sit out a year.

Just watched a couple of JM games on NFHS.  They are still a good 2A team, possibly a state contender, but nowhere close to where they were last season.

Has anybody seen the game? Looks like GC may have gotten a little home cookin, which is totally fine with me. According to BHC Gate city shot 22 Free throws and JM only shot 4.

GC/JM had a 8:30 schedule time the first games started at 10am, there was 7 or 8 games before them, i thought there's no way they're actually tipping off on time, so i started listening to it a little after 9 and they were already in the 3rd quarter, maybe there was some home cooking but I wasn't paying attention to it cause like you said who really cares.

On Gate City twitter there's a link to watch the whole tournament live and you can go back and watch the replay but it cost $50 to watch. I only wanted to watch the GC/JM game, you still have to pay $15 even if you only want to watch 1 game, they still charge you for the whole tournament for that day, that's why I just listened to it on the radio

I watched the game on the app.  GC looked good.  Jenkins and Reed are solid.

Really surprised GC beat them. I knew JM would fall off after TW left, but thought it wouldn't be a fall great enough in the 1st year to lose to another Class 2 in the state of Va. I though that would take 2 years. I thought they would still be a lock in year one to win it after White's departure. They aren't a lock by any means.
