However, they have not released their conclusions. They decided to hold an official vote on September 23rd and release the final alignment plan on that date. I thought they would release their decisions right away. Apparently, they met and discussed things within their committee, heard final arguments, they set another date of September 8th for any "additional comments" or "further challenges"....whatever that means. I have a feeling they will put together something and release it to the public now on the 23rd... JDHoss and Unchained 1 1 Quote

Then they have to vote on who the official clown will be. After that, they will move to serious issues like where to eat lunch and dinner. Then they’ll get around to the appeals. V-Cats Posted August 27 Report Posted August 27 So obviously they can’t kick LCA out of the VHSL because of their lawsuit but I don’t see why they can’t force them into Class 6 They used to make Maggie Walker compete in Class 6 since they’re a magnet school until they foolishly let them drop to Class 3 On a side note, I considered writing a letter to Jerry Falwell Jr about it but as well all know, he doesn’t like to get involved, he prefers to stand to the side and watch 🤔 SW_VA_boy, Wolf1207, Ryan4VT and 4 others 7 Quote

1inStripes Posted August 31 Report Posted August 31 Marion made a social media post today saying they were denied by a 2-3 vote. Quote

Which I personally hate. 1D was finally going to get a common system to 2D for determining playoffs outside of football. If this holds it will force a points system similar to 3D. Marion and Lebanon may for another appeal of these decisions though. Quote

Getting extra points and playing winnable games will prepare them for class 1 playoffs better than the hogo would. Tazewell, Richlands, and Marion are winnable games every year. Southern Gap and VA High would be tossups. I think it would actually help them. Quote
1inStripes Posted August 31 Report Posted August 31 In most years. Currently playing in the Hogo or Cumberland would be just as good of a test with a decent out of district slate. In girls sports they would be better off playing in the Cumberland or Hogo typically when it comes to competition. The SWD is very limited in quality teams typically. Quote
Bluebird Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 I wonder if Liberty Bedford and Liberty Christian won their appeals. Quote
44cov3 Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 I wonder about Grayson Co; especially after the Superintendent was quoted in the news paper bashing the VHSL. Quote

UnionFan101 Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 Looks like the VHSL made their decisions. Go to VHSL, then forms, then alignment, then 2027-2031, then click on the first one. https://www.vhsl.org/forms/ Quote

44cov3 Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 So does the MED now vote to kick Grayson out and push them to the SW district? Or will they leave them alone and theyll be the only 2 in a full districts of 1s Quote
