Gridiron60 Posted February 10 Report Posted February 10 Lebanon v Graham (Toss up) Lebanon will have crowd behind them. If it’s close, could be the difference. Quote
Fairlawncat Posted February 10 Report Posted February 10 How does Region D seed teams for the Region Tournament. What Im getting at is....If Lebanon beats Graham, who is seeded first in the SWD tournament and is the SWD Tournament winner the highest seed from the district for the Region tournament, or do they go by who won the district in regular season? If Lebanon beats Graham, who is the winner of the SWD regular season since that would be a split? Quote

Tigerman10 Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 Graham boys wearing out Lebanon-Lebanon looks worst I’ve seen them this year…which Graham will do that to you but it’s been a lot of one on one for Leb and that’s not their game outside of Reece Gridiron60 and Comegetsum 1 1 Quote

tbgfan Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 FINAL Boys Varsity Richlands 63 Va High 52 The Bearcats pulled back within 7 points in the 4th after being down by 16 after 3 qtrs. The Blues had pulled the starters when this happened. Had to put the starters back in. I think there was 7ish minutes left in the 4th when the Bearcats brought it back to within 7 points. The Bearcat announcers said Va High plays at Tazewell tomorrow. Quote

Shew if Graham shoots the way they did from distance tonight theres no one in the region within 15 points of them had close to double digits and were 4/4 in the first quarter while chewing up 45 seconds to a minute each possession. It’s almost unfair for them to shoot like that while being that athletic. Defensively it looked like they were keen with wearing Reece out and if they foul him so be it. He probably had 15-20 points on 2 FG’s made. Reece also has to limit the turnovers big time. He probably has a little more than 15 the past 3 games. Should see Graham at least a couple more times before the seasons over Quote

No deference to the Gmen's play, but I felt Lebanon should have run clock in the 4th when they were up by 11 with 4 minutes or so in regulation. .They started going for the homerun ball and throwing it out of bounds and over players heads. Thus O/T. Real Sasquatch 1 Quote
Fairlawncat Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 I haven't seen Graham or Lebanon this year. Have just seen scores. I've seen Radford, Martinsville, Nelson County. I would have thought Nelson and Martinsville were 6 to 9 points better than Graham just going by scores. That win tonight by Graham makes me wonder if Graham is not right with Nelson and Martinsville and now having a reasonable chance to actually win over them if they all got that far. Quote

Martinsville I agree seems to be the closest to the top along with Graham but Nelson county is definitely not better than Graham Real Sasquatch 1 Quote

I think Martinsville is the best team in Region C and D. However on a good night, Graham could beat them. They would have to be on their A game. Quote
1inStripes Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 Girls: Eastside 43 Rye Cove 39 Eastside comes backe from down 7 in the 3rd.
