I have if Abingdon came in as the #1 seed in conference tournament, then does the #2 seed automatically become the #1 seed since Abingdon goes to class 3 I’m fairly certain yes as that’s the case for what happens during baseball season Bcats 1 Quote

The SWD put more emphasis on the conference tournament as to the M7 hold more value to the regular season Quote

I knew the M7 system wasn’t exactly the same as rhe SWD but it was close enough that I wasn’t sure exactly how GC would be seeded. If GC wins tomorrow or Wise loses, gotta be a huge letdown for Wise. Preseason top M7 hell prob top 2D team having to travel round one would be a disappointment. Bcats 1 Quote

The M7 is not the Cumberland and Damron hasn't done a very good job. Bball_Fan 1 Quote

Losing Collins was a huge blow no way around that but they’re a talented bunch, they shouldn’t be finishing just ahead of Battle abd losing to GC in tourney. Bball_Fan 1 Quote

Collins was the leader of that team for last 4 years even as a freshman. Only thing left after he left is EGO’s. Then they run off a coach that knows how to coach the ego’s and this is what you get. Damron has just as big of ego as the players and 1A is way different than 2A. You aren’t trying beat Castlewood, Burton, or Twin Springs to win a conference in M7. No disrespect to those teams, just a big difference. I guess it was the price the SBO paid to get his kid to start. Bball_Fan 1 Quote

The problem with Central's talent is that they know they're good and think that should automatically equate to calls, non-calls and ultimately wins. Doesn't help that their fan base is horrible. I know every school/team has bad apples, but I dare you to go sit amongst the Central faithful and listen to the holier than thou comments. BigWinners 1 Quote
1inStripes Posted February 20 Report Posted February 20 Boggs would have struggled this year as well IMO. Floor leadership Collins provided was huge. Steady head who they could always turn to. appyvol 1 Quote

They have arguably two of the top 10 players in the region, but the others are either good bball players/not athletes or athletic/not as skilled bball players. Additionally, those two top 10 players don’t seem to mesh well and compliment each other either. Bball_Fan and 1inStripes 2 Quote

I’ve watched Central play a lot this year and I agree with this. However, if you will go back and watch Hayes is much more willing to pass the ball and give it up over the other one. I think Hayes has the mindset sometimes that he has to keep it to get his points in. Quote

Gridiron60 Posted February 21 Author Report Posted February 21 GBB HALFTIME Ridgeview went on a 14-0 run 2Q. One player, Yates, I believe hit 4 three pointers. I haven’t watched any girls M7 games until tonight. I don’t think any SWD team would be Ridgeview. Ridgeview - 30 Abingdon - 16 Quote

It really is crazy how dominant the M7 has been not just in the region, but the state as well. What is the number of state titles since it was formed? Should add one because the VCU medical staff screwed Central out of one vs Floyd. Quote
