Lebanons Reece’s Best Sport Survey

Tim Hayes released and article showing a survey of what Reeces best sport is. Many said football but a handful still said basketball. Knowing many of you have seen him play both I wondered what you all think. Football or Basketball?

Personally I think in terms of highschool football and basketball I think Reece is better on the hardwood. Football is the sport where it’s a team the most out of any, and as many of you have seen, he’s not had the most help on the field the past four years. 
In basketball he has been surrounded by pretty solid players since his freshman year and is still closing in on the school record for points and has the record for rebounds

I’d say a toss up. He’s got athleticism to play just about any sport at high school level. As far as collegiate, I think he made the right choice as far as football. He’s getting his education paid for and I’m sure they’ll be some intramural basketball to fill his need to still shoot some hoops.

Plus if he shows promise at the D2 level the D1 schools could always come calling with contracts.  That goes for all the kids going to uva wise and E&H over the next few years.

Hes a special athlete in general.  More impactful at the next level.....Football.  Most impactful at the HS level...probably basketball and that's saying a lot as good as he is in football.

Yea he absolutely made the right decision with football. at the collegiate level he probably doesn’t have the speed to be as effective at basketball as he will be at football

Will be intriguing to see how he adapts to college football. Curious to see how he handles guys with elite level speed and size, also be nice to see what he does with a decent supporting cast

If Lebanon and Union are lucky enough to play this week, I’ll share my thoughts but now I lean football. Kid is a dawg and has rhe perfect body type for a QB/DE

 Also only player to have 1,000 rebounds at Lebanon

Probably the best player Lebanon has ever had and It’s a shame he never made it out of the first round of region

Ben Carpenter is the best player Lebanon has ever had.  He missed 10+ games with an ankle injury or he would have had 2,000 points easy.

Reece will do a good job at Wise.  They are fortunate to get him.

But he also doesn’t have anywhere close to the amount of rebounds Reece does. And didn’t play with 3 1,000 point scorers that he had to share the shots with

In the last two years Reece hasn’t shared shots with anyone lol-get out of here with that stuff.

He had to with Boyd not this year but the two prior? This year ofc he didn’t but he still only averaged 20 along with 6 assists, not that big of an increase for his career average
