If I were Graham, I would be more concerned about the offense. Defense has been fine. Not sure what was going on with the offense last year, it was much more inconsistent than the few years prior. The OL last year shouldn’t have had any issues but seemed like they struggled at times and Roberts was running for his life. I think once the younger Palmer gets some games under his belt, he’ll do well at QB. He’s very athletic. Hopefully, the Bradshaw brothers are huge contributors as well. As far as defense, you’re right with Snake doing it, they’ll be fine. Real Sasquatch 1 Quote

There were a lot of times I thought Graham could just line a couple big boys up in the backfield and run Lilly or Palmer behind then and just run over some folks like they did a couple years back. I think Lilly could have been utilized more at rb. I know he was a great blocker....but imagine him or Palmer running with Williams and Dowell blocking in a stacked backfield.... Gridiron60 1 Quote

When our grandson was playing at Dobyns-Bennett, they scrimmaged Botty two years in a row at E&H, and Botty more than held their own. Quote
redtiger Posted March 8 Report Posted March 8 If you look at LB historically they were basically 3As version of Ervinton before he got there, he took them to the state title 3 times and has an outstanding overall record. JDHoss, VHSLhelper and jarhead24219 3 Quote

Fairlawncat Posted March 9 Report Posted March 9 Bears are going to be a serious problem for Class 2 with Harless because Harless and his screen packages are whole other level compared to Turner, and again, that's aside from Harless's general prowess as a coach. Union will be instantly better, more diverse, be less vanilla offensively. Add tradition-great PV/Appy football players to go with that and Union becomes a serious problem. They already were one, but going to play for a title or 2 in the next 2 to 5 years. Quote
