I watched some of Clarke County girls on NFHS and some of Central Woodstock boys. Clarke County is going to be a tough opponent & Central Woodstock is good. I think both are beatable but I do think Lady Bears will have to play their best A++ game and Graham might manage a win with a B+ or A- game. Wishing both teams the best. It would be cool if region D won boys and girls championship. Quote

But that’s the thing with such a young team. Give them an ounce of confidence and they don’t know they’re not supposed to be doing this yet. I honestly don't know what to expect from Luray but i overheard several people (Galax and GW faithful) saying last night was the state championship game. I had the same feeling myself, but Luray is solid and capable against either squad. GW beat them by 3 back in December, but I did not watch that game to truly know how that one played out. Those kids earned the privilege to play in their own home court and use their own locker rooms. They should be enjoying that not getting paraded on a bus so some folks can make social media posts. Graham stayed pretty much on task in a hostile environment and didn’t get rattled even when Central made it a close game and seem to be making a comeback at different times in the game. I was glad the refs let them play. I hate games where they call every little thing. As far as the home team arriving on a bus to their own school for a home game ,that is kind of strange. I think the difference is that Union football team has to ride a bus to get to their field to play a game. The only thing I can figure is maybe the Central team took bus to a pregame meal elsewhere and they were arriving back from that or maybe they did just ride the bus around the parking lot for the fun of it.
