It’s sad to say but Bears just not in their league. They develop players up to another level. Coach at Union just doesn’t have it !  Time for Union baseball to go another direction !  Or just be satisfied with with mid level team.

Great win for Union, Battle last year in the region championship stopped abingdon overall district win streak it was well over 100

Does anybody knows Lebanon baseball conference win streak, I know it doesn't rival abingdon but it's a good number 

@Gridiron60 what is Graham football conference win streak and do you know the last time Graham lost a conference game

2016 was the last time Graham lost a regular season SWD game. Richlands beat them 31-24 in 2016. In 2017, Graham won 20-13 and in 2018, Graham kicked their dominance in high gear beating Richlands 38-10.

The SWD competition isn’t exactly the bastion of football dominance these days but definitely an impressive run for Graham. No shade intended at other SWD teams.

If Leb or Richlands couldn’t get them last year, a down year, it may be another few years before anyone else has a chance to do it. The SWD has been super top heavy in recent years. Four diff M7 teams have won it over the last ten years, SWD has one.

Yeah Richlands was probably the only real threat in the conference before they slowly started to fall off, still impressive it been 10yrs

With a quick turnaround an early start Abingdon ranked #7 in the state just dropped their 2nd game of the season 6-3 to Va High. Abingdon is a state championship caliber team they better wake up and get their act together

Lebanon’s last regular season district loss in baseball was to VH in the 18-19 season.

Depends on who the Falcons send to the mound. They started their #4 pitcher against Union and then brought in another pitcher who hadn't thrown all year. If Turman or Reed didn't start against Virginia High then that could play a big part in why they lost. Abingdon graduated a lot of good players off of last years team so they don't have a deep lineup of hitters like they normally do.

Neither Turman or Reed pitched, I forgot the kids name that started, he got pulled in the 4th or 5th then they brought another guy in to finish the game. Abingdon probably didn't want to be out there today after a crushing defeat their hearts wasn't in it. Abingdon will be fine and still the team to beat in class 3

The Falcons ace Turman started vs the Bears:) He was 6-0 with an ERA of 0.88 and Union got him for 7.

This is also impressive. This is the Asheville team Union defeated earlier this season. They are a 6A squad that played for the state title last year. Look at all of the commitments in the video

I don't remember Tazewell being relevant at all in recent years. Virginia High's demise began with Mark Daniels' departure, and continued with Lebanon's resurgence.

I actually think it was the 2017-18 season where Leb lost to Va High.  And they only spent 2 years in the Hogo
