I’ll preface this with , I don’t think they are contenders as far as region and probably not SWD but Graham girls have started the season 5-0 for the first time in school history. It’s still a noteworthy accomplishment especially since Graham softball is usually not very good. Congratulations to them. Good luck rest of the season.

They have had more kids doing travel ball with the current group of girls they have.  It's starting to show up for them.  Good chance they can make regions this year.

That’s great. I wasn’t aware. Good for them! I hope they can win some playoff games.

Not so sure about that. No offense but they've played nobody with a pulse yet. Randy has got these girls going in the right direction. But region is a big leap

Im not saying its a guarantee by any means but 4 teams get in and outside of Richlands and Lebanon every game is winnable for the others with Tazewell, Marion, VA High and Graham face each other.

I can never remember how it works.  Is it the 4 top teams from district that go to region right? Then the top 2 out of the region tournament go to state? So yeh I was thinking wrong. My bad. So yeh you're right.  I think there's a very good chance they can make region this year. They've been working hard, would like to see them make it.

Graham seem to be hitting the ball well. You never know. Richlands isn't playing very well right now but they probably have the fewest games in. Richlands defense is what's worrying me this year and their defense is usually pretty strong. But as I said in another post, with our catcher out hes got girls in some different positions.  Anything can happen this year.

Top 4 of SWD vs Top 4 of the M7.  Then top 2 out of those 8 move on to the state quarterfinals.

I think Graham & Lebanon play this week. I’ll be interested to see how Graham performs against them. Lebanon has been very a solid team and competitor in SWD.

I thought it would be a little closer than that. And I wouldn't be so quick to count out Wise and Richlands. Just gotta catch fire at the right time. But as of right now it would look like Lee and Lebanon.  We'll see how it goes when Richlands plays Lebanon. Richlands has been hitting really well in the myrtle beach tournament.  See if they can keep it up.

I won't say it fully surprised me to see a run rule game.  Lebanon is really good. Them and Lee should be the top 2 in 2D.

Battle, Central, and Lee are the top three 2A teams in the M7, not much difference on any given day.

Centrals question mark right now is Dales health.  She's had some issues coming out of basketball that is hurting her on the mound currently.  They also had a starter leave the team last week.  With Westin starting to get healthy at Lee they should be able to distance themselves from Battle and Central.
