Westisthebest Posted June 1 Report Posted June 1 Im sure most people would pick Lee and Wise being in the finals, and understandably so. Anyone believe that Lebanon and/or Richlands can get it done? I know MNT 7 is easily better from top to bottom. Battle was no slouch at all. Just watching them warm up, they are all athletes and we'll coached. But Richlands came through with the win. Avenging a defeat in 2023 I think when Battle came back from being down maybe 5 or 6 runs in the 7th. Richlands plays a familiar foe in Wise Central. They used to be a regular on the schedule and only scrimmaged this year. But these girls have also played against each other since they were 8 years old. Id say the series is probably even or pretty close with this group. Hoping for a close game and Richlands pulls it out late. Who yall got? Lebanon vs Lee will be very interesting. Im not sure these 2 have played against each other recently. Lee and Wise both seem to be strongest this time of year. Can Lebanon put up enough runs on Weston for a bid to the state tournament? Also, dont sleep on Musick, she's pretty hot right now and pitching very well with a pretty solid lineup behind her. Who yall got in this one? Quote
swvavol Posted June 2 Report Posted June 2 These 4 teams were the ones everyone predicted to make the region final 4 all season long. Should be some good softball played. If Lee has their bats going, they will be tough to beat. They have played one of the toughest schedules around and are definitely battle tested. They schedule that way purposely to be ready for the pitching this time of year. Lebanon is no push over, and can definitely win the game, but if Weston is throwing well, I think Lee gets the victory. The Central-Richlands game will be a tough one to pick. Central puts the bat on the ball. Can Richlands play good enough defense to limit their scoring? If you look at Central's Facebook posts, you would think Dales is throwing BB's and is an All American, but her good games have come against teams that are pretty weak. When they have played teams with a pulse, she isn't as untouchable as they make it sound. If Richlands is patient at the plate, they should draw plenty of walks. If its a low scoring game, then Richlands has a shot. If they have to score over 5 runs, then I would bet on Central. Quote

Westisthebest Posted June 3 Author Report Posted June 3 Make it 2 upsets. Richlands down 2 to 1 in the 7th and Osborne hits a solo Homer to tie it up. Richlands started hitting and Wise sort of imploded with a couple errors and smart baserunning by Richlands. Then Reynolds singled and knocked in 2 more runs. Richlands wins 8-2. And with Fuller and the defense only giving up 2 runs against a strong offense made it a total team effort. Gotta love this team! Ryan4VT and tornado99 1 1 Quote
