SandlickWolf Posted June 27 Report Posted June 27 I do not understand why there is so much excitement around Lee? They may have some good players, but it’s Lee…? MMcMahon26 1 Quote
Unchained Posted June 27 Report Posted June 27 I think they will be the most dangerous team in the region. A healthy Karder Pendegraft and other weapons, and Carroll has more talent than he's ever had this year. Union and others had best not overlook the Generals. I see some folks picking them last, but they will be wrong. Quote

UnionGuy2017 Posted June 27 Report Posted June 27 Same old story. Last year they lose to Battle and then Beat Abingdon in I believe back to back weeks. Expect more of the same. They won’t have anything for Union/Ridgeview/Gate City and most likely Abingdon. Quote
SXSW Posted June 29 Report Posted June 29 Hope springs eternal. There are a least two posts like this every summer, one for Lee and the other for Central, I am pretty sure Central's is coming soon., Quote
Clippers#1 Posted June 29 Report Posted June 29 I could see Lee finishing 5th above Wise and Battle Quote

Hopefully Pendergraft comes back from his knee injury and doesn't miss a beat. He is electric with the ball in his hands. Unchained 1 Quote

Most teams don't overcome that margin in just a year. 35-14, or heck if union is way down and Lee will be as good as most people say, then it could be a 28-14 game. But its still Union and Lee... UnionGuy2017 Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 Mountain Mojo posted some really good coach and player interviews from Lee high today. I really like the atmosphere that Carrol is attempting to foster. They players are buying in and they believe! They believe they should win every game they play. You have to have that mindset. redtiger Posted July 28 Report Posted July 28 Thats a tricky mindset to build. It seems too often it comes across or is presented as "you WILL win every game" and then when that doesn't happen the kids loose faith and the bottom falls out. Can and will are two very different things. Imo Lee has the size and talent that they could compete with Union, it just doesn't seem to translate to the field for a variety of reasons. Quote
Fairlawncat Posted July 28 Report Posted July 28 Line play will be the divider on whether Lee challenges the top teams in the region. They've had the athletes and offensive coaching with Carroll, but Lee's line has been way behind the top teams in that region. Their line will have to dramatically improve for them to catch up with Union/Graham/RV rdh2443 1 Quote
