Stelley Posted July 29 Report Posted July 29 Coaching Carousel in Washington County continues with Francisco stepping down. Francisco is a respectable individual and a good coach but could never win the big one with some of the greatest talent to ever come through SWVA. I’ll go ahead and say it. My bet is that they’ll give his son the job Would also gamble that Gobbles assistant coach Buchanan is likely the front runner for the Battle job Quote
1inStripes Posted July 29 Report Posted July 29 I think Buchanan will be Battles coach but I think a someone on Abingdons staff probably takes over given the timing. Stelley 1 Quote
Widespread_Panic Posted July 29 Report Posted July 29 Abingdon and JSB are two big jobs to fill. I think both Francisco and Gobble did an excellent job with their programs and the Mountain District is going to miss their contributions. Quote

The two dogs at the top in the M7 losing their heads could be just what Union needs to take that next step Quote

In their defense they have ran into Lebanon the two years before this one. They would have needed to get the 1 seed to have had a better chance. The loss to Richlands was puzzling but with the way Lebanon started to pitch the ball in the postseason I’m not sure Union would have beaten them either Quote

Union has the better players , but Lebanon would’ve out coached the crap out of Union. Stelley 1 Quote
