this is the team lee county has been waiting on for 5 years. it's a shame they don't get the support at the top. instead of trying to create a culture, somebody needs to get out of their way. talk is cheap. their head coach didn't have any confidence in them grounding out 2 yards at central. inside 2 yd he passed,passed,passed. if he can't run wynn and crusernberry behind big 77,74,55,9, he needs to hang up his whistle.

It was supposed to be run plays our QB ran the wrong plays .... Same thing happened at Ridgeveiw... He's a good lil ball player and a great kid just hope he has learned from his mistakes !!! Our outside LBs need to stay home unlike wise central game and play their man and Lee should come out on top!!!
I want to see union win but I have a feeling in my gut that Abingdon will squeak a win at Bullitt Park... Abingdon 24 union 20..... Although it could just be the Taco Bell I just ate!!!
We have a senior and a sophomore didn't start last year... Moore and Cottrell... no freshmen starts this year!!! A couple are on a couple of the special teams

We have a sophomore starting but he did last year or got a heck of a lot of time on the field (because who his family is in the county) you have a Jr that is a 1st year starter the rest started or had lots of time on the field last year
I hope to see more of our "young" next year players in this game.... One had a good game against GC this past week Garrett with two interceptions one for a pick 6..... Like to see our #s 12, 57,72,75, and 76 get some good reps in as these will be our team next year....
I don't normally say anything about kids but you guys have talent but the worst discipline team I've seen in a long time... You guys were moving the ball great at first then fell apart when first mistake was made.... kids hitting themselves in the head... You guys are like us you need a QB... He Made a lot of bad decisions as did ours....
Is Akers that bad? Is Gate City like us have lots of athletes that play other sports? Lots of really good athletes at Lee that just plays one sport now.
May be a bettter game than most expect ... I heard we'll be playing several players tonight that has had limited time on the field this year. Lots of our next years team will be playing tonight.... Either way I hope for no injuries for either team tonight.
We shall see about that. I disagree some on that point. Gate City will be back. Lee wins this one by 17. It should be worse, but whenever Lee sees anything remotely resembling Gate City, it pees its pants, and that right there accounts for 14 points for GC. Final Score and somewhat alarming, 34-17 Lee. Much of this due to the rivalry component and much of this due to the physicality of what a Union team does to opponents. Either way, Gate City will advance on the season as "defeated" and attempts to go "Defeated" for the first time in the history of Gate City High. I know Bluefield Researcher, Shoemeaker High went 0-10 in the early 50's, but again, since the new school was built and called "Gate City High School," we have never been 0-7 in the history of our program, so last week was a first for us. Each and every game we lose from this point is a "first." It's record breaking, for example, never an 0-7 start, or 0-8, or 0-9, and incredibly, we may actually be able to pull it off and for the first time, go "Defeated" at 0-10. We have always attempted to go "Undeated," but never "Defeated." 0-10 is not an easy task and it's actually somewhat hard to do. But hey, "lets not talk about it."
I've not watched Gate City this year but watching film they don't look like much..... Yes we've lost games this year but ask anyone who has played us we won't be pissing in our pants this Friday!!! I'll be shocked if gate city scores on us....
As much as I want Lee to win, Va high should win. quite a few kids that have very little play time this year will be playing tonight with several starters on the sidelines. Not going into complete details but Va high by 2 TDs.
Lee looked more aggressive last week and this week during practice than the rest of this year.... Hopefully our Line has woke up after the thumping we took from Union and Gate City! IMO Lee wins in a close one.
