I imagine Altavista by 3 TD's from what I saw @ the Honaker game. I know I've gave you guys a tough time and still do, about the tigers, but Honaker was legit. I feel they played well with Altavista until the fourth quarter, given how damn raw Altavista is in the pass D. I don't think Haysi or Honaker folks should feel any shame. Hell you made it to the semi's and that's something of a miracle in itself to Rebels like me. Must be a great feeling to even be that close to knocking on the door. Go Rebels! I imagine the Clintwood/Haysi mutation will produce some kind of monster next year. I fear for the lives of those on the scheldule. Who will be the head coach? If not Colley then I'll be highly pissed. Coach Colley is G.O.A.T. in SWVA.
Coach Colley has more experience and knowledge of football than most anyone, if not everyone, in SWVA. Just move on and let it go. There must of been a lot of mis-matches elsewhere for him to continue what he did, same with Honakers coach.
I imagine the coaching staffs for all 3 teams watched film and studied the opposition day and night, before the big game. I am positive they had the best game plan laid out that they could of had vs. what they where up against. It's beyond easy for a fan to point shit out and say "this would of been better than this", but at the end of the day, I trust the coaching staff and head coaches strategy that was presented on the field. Sometimes you simply don't match up and can't out coach the superior program. Trust me I'm a Hurley Rebel fan and I know. Our superbowl is whenever we play the tigers and everything before and after is irrelevant. I really wish Honaker and Haysi could have advanced. Who will win the title?
I must confess at last that I'm secretly pulling for both Tigers of the BDD. I hope one of the BDD Tigers can get a ring and bring some sunshine to our dark area.

Anyone know where I can get a few pairs of the 92' cleats that Richlands used to win state? I was going to see if I could get a set for each of the Hurley players next year when we play @ the cliff on those rainy nights. I heard they make people talk shit for up to a decade later if you win with them on your feet? I'll check with Falconman and dad first, maybe they will know something?
Rebel Pride if you think that your getting under any of our skin wanting us to lose your badly fooled. I really don't get you man. You have two schools (Honaker, Haysi) from the district that your school competes against. They have a chance to do something really special. Man the bdd has been the topic of jokes for as long as I can remember, how weak our district is, nobody from that district can win in the post season ect. These two have been the best in the west for 3 years now and instead of downing them how about supporting them. I can tell you this Galax, wythville, Radford or Covington dont respect honaker or haysi. All we have is each other and the local support from the nice richlands fans and many others. Dude grow up broaden your horizons and look at the big picture! It's us against the state and it's about time you get on board. I can honestly say if it was Hurley not Honaker gearing up to play Wythe Saturday I would be on here rooting for them not downgrading them!

As for Rebel Pride or anyone else pulling against Haysi, the fans love it, the players love it, the coaches love it. We gladly accept the underdog role. Just about everyone underestimates Haysi and that just the way we like it, always have.
