Don't think it would be 4TD's by any means, not that it couldn't be, but why would RV coach leave the starters in to run up the score and take a chance of injury. Wouldn't it be better to have a 14 point victory and keep starters injury free, rather than a 4TD victory and maybe get a valuavle starter injured? It's playoffs, no need to try to be impressive with the score, win by one point and move on is all that's required.

Like the idea of the East and West like it was for simple fact of new teams to face. However I will still make a couple of point that I believe in. This is the last chance 95% of those kids will ever set foot on a field again. How many people would always like to have just one more. Even if you go get murdered, it could be an experience for you. Imagine never having played them before but you get to set foot on the field at Union or Graham. I'm all for saying you should have to have at least a breakeven season but sometimes getting to play in a playoff game could be just the boost needed to get more kids out or to get the current ones in the weight room more so that next year they can make a statement.
All for winning games and having a great show but bottom line is this is for the players and you never know what that could really mean to them.
Great point....also take a team like the Pack....in that scenario they are likely going home with 1 playoff game as opposed to getting a chance at a great rivalry matchup in a week in Norton.....
But I personally like the way it is not because it makes the VHSL more money......and that makes me warm and fuzzy inside..

Lee is going to lose to Abingdon. So, if the Region did use points first, then you are going to have Gate City who has a 1 game better district record than Lee, and you are going to have Gate City who beat Lee by 2 touchdowns not going to the playoffs.<----------That's weird!
May have missed this, and this may not be the place, but speaking of Lee......heard that Lee is going to be M7 4 seed over GC? Even though GC beat them and finished with a better district record?
The host schools AD is generally who setups the NFHS broadcast. I think the system will say a broadcast is ready within 20 minutes of it being setup even if its last minute, but I have seen them rolling live much faster than that anyway.
Are all NFHS cameras created equal or are there different kinds? Some seem to be better than others
Running the ball is kind of a necessity at this level but I think its how we run the ball......more jet sweep type stuff to Beavers and Hill and get our speed to the edge......then throw off that.
Like the Wise Central game, probably could have thrown more but in the second half Beavers getting to the edge was what sealed that game.
Also could we coin this game the battle of the Beavers?
