I personally hate that Richlands and Bluefield do not play each other any more. Me being from Bluefield, the wife being from Richlands, always made it an interesting week around the household the week of that game.
These scheduling dilemas I am constantly reading about on here, whats the deal? Im clueless here... Is it totally up to the individual school to schedule their games? If there is a constant problem with scheduling, then maybe the states athletic commission should step in and do the scheduling. I personally would like to see Bluefield play closer proximity games... just saying. Pros / Cons??
The second string goal line stand late in the 4th against GE was pretty awesome. I noticed Bluefield had really great blocking downfield against the secondary all night. Extremely important for the running game... and it showed. Thursdays night game against CCD is going to be a barn burner!
Ding, ding, ding. The kid is a stud and has a chance to be the best player this region (WV and Va.) has seen since Ahmad. He could start at 95% of the schools in the region this year as an 8th grader. With the right coaching, attitude, and hard work the kid has a super future.

LOL! I thought yours were great Lance. I bet we took 300+ pics and only 90 some turned out good. So 2 out of 3 pics pretty much got trash-binned. I would love to be able to get on the side-lines one game so I could get some really good ones...
Heres some pics we took of the Beaver Graham game. Sorry for the late post... I'm getting lazy in my old age! The pics taken after half-time lost alot of resolution due to low light and being in the top aisle. A good photo-editing software with a 'noise' filter will work wonders. Anyways... Enjoy!

this was supposed to be a down year for us... look at the program at all the Jr's and Soph's that we got starting. this was supposed to be a reloading/rebuilding year. how'd we get to Wheeling... i don't know??? but they've played their guts out when it counted. and i was one that was down on 'em in the early going, but they've grown up and came around.

This Beaver squad has surprised a lot of people this year... especially me. Bluefield is going to be a tough program to beat again in the coming years!
WOW! CONGRATULATIONS Beavers on this win. And congrat's to James Monroe as well on one heck of a season. Both teams should be very proud of their selves! I'll tell ya... Bluefield and James Monroe is starting to become a great rivalry game.

So Weir was already on probation for using an ineligible player and then this incident occurred and the SSAC acts like its no big deal because it was an "In house Incident". How could that be considered In house when it happened the way it did? I say FIRE the bum for acting the way he did. I dont care how much crap he had to listen to after that loss. A person in that role CAN NOT act they way Mr. Filberto did... I'm sorry, no excuses... I dont care how emotional it was...
Also... did Weir have to forfeit those two games they used the ineligible player? I don't think so... now if that had been Bluefield that done that, we would have had to forfeit those two games... no post season play and gawd knows what else...
Not sure if this would have been a great match-up this year but Bluefield vs. Richlands only because the wife is from Richlands and Im from Bluefield... and I have had to listen to it all season long...
riderpride, Weir has one hell of a football program and you guys showed it off today. The best two teams in the state met today and it took one of them almost 45 min and 30 seconds to wake up and play to potential. You guys have nothing to be ashamed of, you pushed Bluefield to the very brink and left it all out on the field. Zac Cooper is the real deal and will make a fine player at WVU. We sometimes forget that this is a game and there are more important things in life, our family and friends. Glad to see you made it home safe and thank you for clearing the air on what exactly transpired after the game. You certainly have this Bluefield fan's respect.

I couldn't agree more sources... Like I said in another thread on here, This game would be better than the state title match-up. We were at our lowest lows and our highest highs during this game. Weir football has an outstanding program. They have no reason to feel bad after this loss, except for the altercation after the game.
