I don't bye the reasoning of not being familiar with the SOL's. It's more to it that that. Graham has to be the main focus because I don't see Tazewell or Richlands getting WV students. There wasn't a problem when McDowell Co. kids were going to Pocy.
Isn't Ward a free agent? If so then he'll be the one that may go because he would be looking for a better deal and more carries. AB has 2 more years on his contract.
I wish him nothing but the best also but other than him being a huge Hokie fan and just wanting to be part of that program and atmosphere, I think that I would want to go somewhere that I would play or at least have a very high chance of playing within a year or 2. I cant really see him getting to play for tech at all. "Just my opinion."
If that's the case the Tyler Hans., Gerald Wilkins , Jeremiah Rivers , Mike Dunleavy, Grant Hill, Gerald Henderson, Pat Ewing Jr., Anthony Mason Jr. etc.. should have never accepted their scholaships either huh.
Can someone tell me who they think would be a better coach for the G-Men right now? If there would have been someone else 4 years ago then that person may have gotten the job. There are very few BASKETBALL players at Graham. WE dont have the type of players that WE were used to having in the past and I dont believe that is Carlock's fault. The coaching strategies may not be what some of you are used to seeing or what you may like but if you can do a better job then go talk to whoever makes the decisions and try to take over. Until you can find a better coach or doit yourself how about trying to help the cause and start with the little league and the middle school and get some of these kids ready when before they get to high school, therefore the high school coaches dont have to spend time working on things that these kids should have learned earlier.
I know that over the Thanksgiving break Kyle and AJ missed some practices which may be the cause of them not starting. As for Palmer he has been having some issues with some injuries. As someone previously stated, starting doesn't matter. They'll play and get enough minutes so that you guys dont have to question the amount of playing time.
I just don't see these kids having the PRIDE that we usually have in Bluefield, VA. Regardless of who is coaching the players have to be the one tackling. This may be the worst Graham defense in history. Having saying this I know too that we are dealing with a new generation of spoiled brats. If they are giving up in games and not caring then they are simply cowards in my eyes. I'm not sure if they are giving up but if so then thats what they are. One other thought would be that maybe teams are better than us in all aspects of the game. If other teams are better than you then you will lose but having been BLOWN OUT 3 or 4 times in a year is simply not GRAHAM HIGH FOOTBALL.
WE haven't taken one of those ass whoopins since salem back in '91. WE still managed to finish 8-4. Don't know if this group is capable of making a turn around because WE play no defense. Never seen a Graham team give up so many points. Better get some grit in your crawl or some piss and vinegar and get to it guys.
I really think that he just wanted to play against his friends at Bluefield since he was ineligible to play with them. If he goes back or is back at BHS will he able to play basketball if he brings his grades up?
These kids need to understand that sports can be an avenue to better things if your mind is right. Quitting something that you love or like to do this early in life only makes things worse when you get older.
I have a 2003 Explorer with only 36000 miles on it. Brand new tires that I haven't put on it yet. Brand new brakes and rotors all the way around w/ a new battery. Trying to sell for $10,000 or better offer.
I know it doesn't have to be a teacher from the high school. If you look at the county, name someone that could or would do it. Have you ever seen someone from the community have a head job in tazewell county?
Nothing better to do.
