Devon is a Div 1 prospect at LB & RB period! Devon plays both ways also, he dont get to rest. Ask College recruiters who they would rather have. Taking nothing away from the kid @ Cave, he was great last night and has been all year.

Maybe it's time to head on back over to the CMD board. There, all the Gate City fans can thump their chest without interruption. If someone dares to have a different opinion there, the buzzards swoop in. Actually, it's just a Gate City board that a very few other CMD fans visit to get browbeat. But, you can have a lotta fun with'em if you're thick skinned enough that the buzzards don't bother you.
i konw burton and clintwood are very strong in their football program and has made it to the final,but has either ever won it ?also has lebanon ever made it to the final?
Not sure about Burton, I know Clintwood has won it more than once. Lebanon has made it 2 or 3 times, never won it and will be a long time if they ever do. Lebanon is still playing in the 60's, we'll probably be playing 21st century football about 2050.
How in the world can you think that pv will beat richlands I think great first half 28 -7 halftime 42 21 final GC much better team but pv might get some scores from their speed MIGHT...........
I'm not so sure GC is better than PV. PV has good speed and mixes things up well, very physical. I don't think Powell Valley could stop Gate City's running game but I'm also not sure Gate City can stop Powell Valley's passing game. I believe it'll be a better game when it comes around than most think.
I am hoping to see a score or two at least. I think it should at least be closer than the previous two games. Not sure what Lebanon has this year. If like last year, they overlooked Tazewell and went out on the losing side. Just goes to show never overlook a team.
You're right, Lebanon overlooked Tazewell last year and got beat, same as Tazewell overlooked Lebanon the prior year and got beat. Way too much overlooking going on!
I think you are giving GC and the fans undue credit. I seriously doubt there will be any problems, it is usually just the Lebanon fans who whine about that. (oops! shouldn't have said whine!) Ask all of our friends from Bluefield last year, i don't think anyone had any problems. Did anyone from Richlands have any problems in '08?
As i have said a hundred times, bring your fans! i love the atmosphere win or lose. Unfortunately, besides Bluefield and South last year no one brought more than 200-250 to sit there. I know some folks from Russell Co. believe we should leave all the general admission seats on the 50 empty just in case they show up for the game, but hey i have season tickets on the GC side :)
Still a little sore with Lebanon? get over it! Speaking of whinning, read all the "whinning" the GC fans did about having to play the Regionals at a neutral field........now that's professional whinning!!
