Glad you made it over for a game...too bad you didn't pick a better game. Not that any of the home games have been good games, but the crowd for this one was pretty pathetic. Not may folks in the stands and they were pretty quiet.
I was actually there for the Gate City game. Crowd support for both teams was pretty good I thought. Just wish the Devils had played better.
I'm not questioning whether you are right or wrong. I was hoping to see a link or something so I could read it for myself. I don't live down there any longer so I don't know what happens behind the scenes so to speak.
You crack jokes and have your fun. I've been sore all weekend. :( Bruised and a few abrasions, to the point didn't even go to church Sunday. But, I will be ready for you guys.:D
IF you actually play for Abingdon, I would be absolutely ashamed of the excuses you make on here each week. For an actual football player to use some of the crybaby whining you do speaks tons about your program. I personally don't think players should be on message boards especially during the season. Anyway, I hope you feel better by Friday because those big ole boys in Richlands are going to lay it on Abingdon.
The last thing Falconman needs to be posting about is politics. When you get out in the real world and Daddy isn't paying for your needs, then perhaps you can see what your "Great Man" has accomplished.
Does anyone know if there is a weight limit to run the ball in high school? Happy Valley had 2 big backs that looked to be lineman. It's hard to tackle these guys and a little unfair. Dad said that there is a weight limit in midget league and middle school but he was unsure of high school. We played our tails off again and have nothing to show for it. Our record could be 5-0 but we sit here at 2-3 with a bunch of what ifs. I can tell you this the best years are ahead for my Falcons, the only sad part is I will be watching it from the stands. We have homecoming this week and a team we usually dominate John Battle, get ready Trojans because we will be ready! Remember last year when I forced battlefootball to change his avatar to "We got dominated by the Falcons". The only good team we have left is Tranferville (Richlands), dad said that I laughed! We can win the rest of them. :D
Maybe Abingdon needs to play in midget league then. In my short time back here, I have never seen anyone make as many excuses as you do.
I wasn't a big fan of the grunge movement as it happened. Particularly did not like Nirvana as they signaled the end of the music I liked as a teenager-heavy metal. However, over the years, I have learned to appreciate Nirvana and especially Pearl Jam.
First time I've seen Richlands play in person in several years. They looked pretty good! Congrats on last night's win and good luck in the rest season.
I hope Johnson is OK. Couldn't see real well from where I was sitting, but I could tell it was a tackle around the lower leg. Looked like he was putting some weight on it as he left the field, so hopefully that is a good sign.
Making my first journey to Richlands this Friday (never made it up there while in high school either) and I hope I'm not disappointed. Two great programs with recent success. Go Blue Devils!
Bluefield lost a ton off of last year's team...maybe 8 or 9 starters on offense and 7 or 8 on defense. The only returning players with any real PT are the FB and one of the OL. The QB is a SO who saw a little PT with the 1st team last year but the rest of the OL/RBs/WRs are very inexperienced.
As I've said on WVPreps, with Bluefield's schedule this season, they could finish as bad as 2-7...or as good as 7-2...or anywhere in between...
The main reason I went was because Bluefield plays Gate City later this year and I wanted to see if Bluefield was as good as last year. I didn't think that looked like the same team.
Maybe some of the Bluefield folks can jump in here.
I went and watched the first half of this game and was surprised at the number of players Bluefield had. Seemed like only 30. Did they leave anyone at home?
Enjoyed seeing Jerry Lawler in a good match last night and not just a squash job. The video footage of Lawler in his younger days in Memphis and Lance Russel commentating brought back some memories and were a nice touch by the WWE. Someone should have gotten a piledriver though- Michael Cole preferably.
I love the commercial with the host from Top Chef ( Padma Lakshi ?) eating the cheeseburger on the building steps. I never see anyone like her in a Hardees.

Was reading about this in another Pulaski County paper. Apparently his coaching staff will be made up of several ex Cougar folks too.
