  1. Tazewell was better than I thought they would be. They played hard and have some good talent. Hope the THS faithful will give this new coach some time to turn things around before they try to run him out of town.

Good post Frito. I hope for the same.

  2. Tazewell...are you taking notes?????

Do you think Mance would have been run out of Tazewell? Serious question. And yes it may seem as if my arrival back to the site has been delayed, buy I doubt I was missed very much haha as far as the richlands game goes, I have a feeling that they will win by at least 14. And also, props to coach mance for standing his ground on this situation, it shows prominent "head-of-the-table" leadership, which has a big part in what makes a "good" coach a great one.

  3. i doubt it...kid has good mechanics which means someone has worked with him a LOT...so he probably wants to play at the next level...which his best shot for that is with Richlands...a new coach and probably new system would not be worth the risk...too many unknowns...with Richlands you get the spread and a smart QB will put up some good numbers on that team, not to mention they are one of the favs year in and year out to at least make the trip to state.

    no brainer.

It was definetely a good decesion, assuming he wants to play at the next level, which I'm sure he does. I know there were problems between him and Wyatt and I started thinking about how much influence that had on his decesion to leave, if any, and if him knowning Wyatt wouldn't be there next year could have reduced his desire to leave. Either way he's got a lot of potential, for sure.

  4. Right on. I would like to second lances' post and extend a thank you to everyone who makes this site possible. I appreciate everything yall do with this site. Even though I've had some minor differences with moderators on here, I would still like to send my thanks to everyone that has made this an amazing part of SWVA tradition. Without mod's I can't imagine what this place would be like! Haha. Thanks for a wonderful discussion board.

  5. Bama played much better than Florida tonight. I really don't think there is any way Texas can stop Ingram and the running game in the NC. If you ask me, the play of the game was the first pass that demps dropped. That incompletion set the tempo for florida's offense for the rest of the game. That and the fact that Tebow choked on the key drive in the 4th. Not the Florida team that we are used to seeing. Who does Florida play next?

  6. Could be we try to have fun down here after all it is a game right?

I can dig it, just figured I'd throw that in there haha. I'll be down there this Friday to watch the game and will cheer on the winner at the next level. I see the blues winning but not by a whole lot. 24-21 Richlands.

  7. Sorry fighton3 he is coming back and I reckon you will just have to sit there in the stands and keep calling plays and being a know it all. (it gives you more time to work on your certification so you can be the next coach) Why dont you ask Corner how he feels about the coaches. I know, you played for them and you know them and you were a beast that averaged 80 yards a carry and they just did not give you the ball, and blah, blah, blah.

I surely wouldn't call some outs on 4th and 19 with the game on the line. If u wanna make this personal we can haha. My days of playin ball are over but thanks for the compliments, although I don't think it was quite 80 per carry.

  8. Should have heard the parents on the tazewell side after the game. I'm suprised Wyatt got outta there in one piece. 4th and 19 with a minute somethin and they run like 5 yard outs like they were tryin to get out or bounds or something. Geez. I had no problem with the officiating really, but mostly cause it seemed pretty evenly called the whole time. Hopefully we can give a big "see yah" to Bobby.

One thing that really got under my skin this season were players not being utilized to their potential. Josh mitchem touched the ball like two times last night and that kid deserves to get at least fifteen touches a game. The only thing smart about the game last night was putting Shaquille in the backfield for the goaline plays. It's always cool to see a big man get in the endzone.

Good game to Graham and congratulations on the win. Both teams really played hard. Good luck against Cave Spring.
