  1. Castlewood will have problems with Wise Central Friday night. I believe that site will miss that one :)

IMHO Castlewood wont be on the same field with wise central. Dont get me wrong castlewood has some good kids but that is apples to oranges.

It looks like Central had problems with Castlewood. The apples may have been rotten......

  2. It was a good game for Haysi; defense played very well, the passing game was on all night but rushing yards were hard to come by(I can see why Honaker had trouble w/ Eastside). Haysi's backup QB played a great game, he only really missed on 2 passes(1 int). The young team is really starting to come together, I saw some kids who looked starstruck the 1st game or two play really well tonight. Haysi played w/ confidence, imo impressive for a team w/ alot of young guys playing and alot of 1st year starters.

Haysi got the ball 1st, moved down the field quickly and scored. From there it was a defensive game for awhile, the teams traded scores and late 3rd/early 4th Haysi pulled away for the win.

Eastside has talent and shouldnt be overlooked, I just think they are running the wrong type of offense; in the second half they opened it up a little and looked pretty good but didnt seem comftorable w/ the passing game. They did look alot better than when I saw them against Sullivan North(thats to be expected w/ a consolidated team).

#11 for Eastside(QB) left the game w/ an injury, didnt seem too serious. Hope he is ok

Good assesment jsut wondering what type of offense they should be running at eastside??

  3. fast for grundy...they usually dont have much speed...Tyler Mc has good speed, Ellis, Travis, Oliver, Ben is not the slowest kid, and the Billiter kid can move good even though he is young...they probably have more speed at more positions this year than any since the 2004 team...but, not anything like Cave Spring had last year or whatever...just fast for the usual Grundy team.

maybe that is the case I haven't seen Grundy play in a few years.

  4. Grundy is young, but better than I expected...they have speed all over the place this year,

Speed all over the place??? not sure what game you were watching, but they have the freshman #6 has some wheels the rest were average. If they had legit speed they would have ran away with the rye cove game cause rye cove has no speed, but that wasn't the case. They are definately not winning any track meets anytime soon

  5. Uhmmm...yeah...in case anyone was wondering about Berglowe....first 3 times he touched the ball he had 2 TD's and 100 yards.

Grundy looked like they could have used him today. But I don't know if he would have helped oline needs some work.

  6. Also since '01 Haysi hasnt had any logo on the helmets, just red helmets w/ white facemasks.

It was before the 01 season. All through the 90's there was not a logo on Haysi's helmet.
