um, carroll county, marion, and abingdon seem to always be pretty good. but grundy should definately have a team like they had last season for jv. most of the girls from jv last year will be moving up, and the others moving on, so varsity should have no problem this year, as like the jv.

[/ QUOTE ] That's true with any team, any sport... Grundy's problem is not coaching, motivation, or anything like that...it's talent...they simply have very little to work with. Most of the kids don't have much of a "little league" program to mature in anymore, and the way it was run in recent history, hardly any of the kids got to actually play and of those that did, most quit before they arrived at the varsity level. Thus...you get what you have witnessed the past few years...nothing. The good news is that the lower level situation has been improved somewhat...but there are many miles to travel. any opinions on how the grundy girls and boys track team will do this year? i think the girls will do pretty good, as far as i know they already won their first meet.
