I was in Tunstall yesterday -- they were hosting a [Region] baseball game, softball game and soccer game -- I walked around and watched some of each of them - it was really nice to have all three fields close enough to do this --

 

Anyway - Tunstall's baseball team's shortstop is in a word AWESOME. I have no idea what his name is or what year he is in school - but he has a cannon - and really quick feet. Quite impressive to see that much talent at a AA High School - Their softball field was beautiful also -

 

I would agree that their fans are possibly a little over the top -- I saw evidence at all three fields - but not the worst -- just generally at all three venues a little in your face attitude was displayed, but like someone said every school has some of those fans.

Well, considering that 5 different players scored for the Knights and they called off the dogs to rest people after it was 3-0, it was a good win.

I think it would be around 4-0 or 5-0 in favor of Blacksburg.

you must admit that blacksburg will come in overconfident which could make it more interesting

well. most swd teams have 1-2 pretty decent players. so if we double their size they now have 4, maybe 5 good players. are you gonna win regions now?

besides, even if these swd teams were moved to single a, would that make much of a difference on how well they play?

Because we were talking about how the SWD teams can't compete with the RRD teams because they have way bigger enrollments.

thats not why there isnt much competition. just a really bad excuse.
