Marion and GW played when Marion wasnt playing well, itd be a good game now if they could play. Marion is playing some intense D and playing more as a team, im not saying theyd beat GW but it would be a game
I was there and saw the whole thing. Marion players were jawing and spitting in the face of our players. There was no sportsmanship shown by the cane players. Marion once had some class when Steve Wright was there but Briscoe is classless and his team is as well. The only reason Briscoe has the job is because there was no teaching positions open for a new hire to come in. That came from my friend at the top in Smythe County. I think Briscoe should send a written apology for the senseless actions displayed by his team to our football team! Bottom line we won and were more physical and they couldn't accept that. They thought we were 'soft' but they found out different!!

That was quite an awesome game. The crowd was very loud! The offense looked like it had an idea of what was going on. Mullen and whoever had a great gameplan. 34 points on an Auburn defense is pretty darn good. How about the 200 Noel threw up? This is the way WVU can play. Coaching was much better, crowd was much better, and it was a great night to be a Mountaineer!

this year roe and hanna will be on the team they were the only 2 guys to run in outdoor states last year, roe is the 400 runner and will do good in indoor, and hanna is a hurddler and sprinter, he would have placed last year in the 300 hurdles but fell on the last one, he still got 11th out of 26 tho
yeah they are going to be good but, dont forget about james. Just because he took a year off, doesn't mean he won't be a favorite.
james will have to win some big matches before he becomes a fav because of that reason. it doesnt matter what sport it is if you take off a year it will hurt you
abingdon returns everyone but neil. they will be better this year than last
i disagree with abingdon being the best. they will have too many individual attitudes they will still be the at the top but not infront of marion. and i know this is zak jarrett and i respect that you think yall should be num 1 as antbody should, i just dont see it happening. anybody know what carrol has?
i believe abingdon will not be able to run the ball too well tonight but i do think they will pass all over graham, but graham needs to regain some pride so it will def be a close one till the end i say either team by 7 or less
I think they'll be fine speed-wise, but Tazewell seems to have an open receiver every time they throw the ball, somewhere on the field. If Tazewell throws the ball well, Marion could be in for a long night. What's the forecast? If it's rainy, that may improve Marion's chances. Also, Marion's passing game seems to be improving, there were a lot of dropped balls early in the season and overthrown passes or receivers running the wrong route, but that seems to have gotten better.
marion is a running team so their best chance will be holding on to the ball as long as possible and eatin that clock and ending with a score, their d will have to step up on pass coverage, it should be a good game, but if they play like they did agianst richlands and turn the ball over alot it itll be a long night
Tyler Reavis from carroll, look for him to make a run for poty as a junior and he will definitely be the best PG in the district.
disagree he is not the handler that Hanna is and doesnt have the court vision, Hanna breaks every press anybody throws at him and not too mention haveing roe right beside him for backup those are the 2 guards you need to watch for

Marion will be the top this year with 4 players that have started since freshman and were on 2 state teams, they also have Hanna who is a small d1-d2 recriut, itll be intresting to see where he signs

Groseclose for marion will finnaly wrestle his weight this year so hell do good and he went to states at 215 and he weighs 180.....sheilds wil struggle with his tough (lol) weight class.....michael yonts (enuf said) he is always a contender. look out for yonts and groseclose and an overall good marion squad this year
That's really funny... Marion got STOMPED by Carroll at camp this summer in HighPoint. I don't think I would rate them as number 1.

Grundy replaced 4 starters (same as this year) for the 2006-2007 season and still won the district.
Marion who yall are all lookining over beat Grundy really bad at their place last year and didnt lose anybody. but yet itll be marion, abingdon, tazewell, and prob graham in the playoffs
