Castlewood should be loaded. They lost one player and have 10 seniors returning. They should be the favorite to repeat as Regional champs.

Only 8 more spots remain open in the 8th Annual Blue Devils Kickoff Classic. The tournament is November 5th-8th at Castlewood High School. We can use a couple more 13U girls teams and 13U boys teams. The Glade Springs Little League program will be holding a coed softball tournament on September 12th-13th in Glade Springs, VA. There will be a $100 entry fee and a 4 game guarantee. The tournament is limited to the first 14 teams and we already have 11 teams as of now. Teams are required to have at least 3 women to play. The men will hit the 12" incrediball and the women will hit the green dot. There will be a 5 HR per game limit. There will also be a Men's and Women's HR Derby. St. Paul High School will be holding a two-day basketball camp on August 22nd-23rd. The cost of the camp is $20 and is open for boys and girls in Pre-K - 8th grade. The camp will run from 2:00-5:00. This turned out to be a great tournament. There were lots of good players there and several good teams. This was the final results: 16U 1st - Gate City 2nd - Blue Flames The score in the final game was 1-0. Gate City was undefeated on the weekend going 4-0. 14U 1st - Honaker 2nd - Blue Flames Honaker 14U went undefeated on the weekend going 5-0. They outscored their opponents 38-1. 12U 1st- Honaker 2nd - Blue Flames Blue Flames beat Honaker in pool play, but Honaker can back to win in the finals.

We are looking at hosting a softball tournament here at PCHS field on June 27th and 28th. 4 Games guaranteed only 125 entry fee per team. Looking at a 16 and under tourney. This is not sanctioned and you can bring your high school team minus the graduating seniors and you have to open it up to have a kid on your team who is from another school or did not play for you in order to make it legal with the VHSL.
