I was not trying to exclude anybody but include, not really understanding what you mean. My original post was to show scrimmage schedules from the Roanoke Times , which included some South west and central Va teams. I was trying to be helpful but did not appreciate the Napoleon Complex type of response I got to my post . There are many on here who appreciate knowing a little more about teams from other areas . that is where the fun is ! Here is a map of general location of Independence , which is in Grayson County . Part of Grayson County is west of Bluefield , like I said . I used to live in Bluefield , Hence no arrogance here nor ignorance like some people .In fact I am more of a Graham supporter and Bluefield supporter than I will ever be a Pulaski supporter . But I do enjoy the traditions of smaller schools like Gate City . And believe me I will never be arrogant the way I grew up!

Grayson County is further west than Bluefield , Radford , Blacksburg , Allegheny , Giles County , Galax , Floyd County , Gate City , Pulaski County , Honaker , Chilhowie ,Lebanon , Marion , Auburn , Christiansburg , Rural Retreat , Carrol County , All listed in here did you not read the post Im sure I missed some but I got mostly all Swest teams - I not sure I get your point unless it was to be a smart @#%^@#!

It was a toss up when they played last year and probably will be this year . They have split the last 2 years . In 09 The Vikings won 21-13 and last year the Bees won 12-10 . Both have their QB back . Should be interesting .

Liberty returns only 3 starters from a 10-2 team and a JV team that finished 5-4 . The difference has been longevity of coaching staffs . Glenvar has had several coaches that have left early that were on to something . If Clifford stays He will build something there . Consistency is the most important thing!

The Blue Demons have gotten better while Pulaski has struggled with consistency. Christiansburg won their first regular season championship last year .

My guess they will be in the running again but they will be less experienced at certain positions . An early season game with Pulaski should tell them something . I know they return about 6 starters from an 11-1 team and a JV team that was 6-2 .

Northside Vikings Roanoke Va 2009 state champs Return 11 starters from a 9-2 team whose jv team finished 9-1 . They also return their QB and 3 important contributors in 5'11" 220 lb Mike Eplion ,5'11" 175 Tyler Fisher and 6'4" 250 Lb Dakota Jackson .Some people are saying this team is more talented than the 2009 team that went all the way Their QB can throw and they are big upfront as usual . This team is the pick to challenge Brookville in Region 3 again .

The Spartans return 10 starters from a 7-4 team and an 8-2 JV team . The strength of the Spartans could be their running game with returning starters Marty Bishop and Jordan Daniels plus a much bigger offensive line . The Spartans will look to ease in a new quarterback in Matt Hill a 6'4" junior , who has potential and a starting pitcher on baseball team . The defense returns leading tackler Mic Edwards along with CB Chad Fisher . Salem will be in the thick of things but with Christiansburg and Pulaski they need to return to fundamental Salem football . Salem lost to Christiansburg by 2 touchdowns but had 6 turnovers in that game .
