I'm sorry, but i can't sit back and take this any longer. Can anyone not see what is going on???
TJ Marrs-University of Tennessee
Alex Marrs-University of North Carolina
David Marrs- Deciding between 3 D-1 schools as an "athlete"
Now out of all of the athletes that have come from Graham which ones are playing Division 1 football?? What about names like T.J Carper and Steven Brown? George Damon or Josh Broyles to point out a few, well they all ended up at Division III schools and IMO they all had a lot more talent then these 3 boys and dont get me wrong im happy for them, but they are not divison 1 talent and it kills me to see someone get an oppurtunity that they don't deserve when some deserving young man that works very hard and has talent doesn't get the shot. But i guess thats why im sitting at a computer and not recruting but i think that these colleges will soon see what Doug has sent them. Anyways congrats to these 3 young men along with Marcus and Jake
tj carper/robert henry are at marshall. george damon never played college football. josh broyles chose to go to ferrum and sustained an injury. steve brown chose to go to E&H but he hurt himself in the classroom, but he was doing well at E&H. maybe these players choose to go D-II and D-III because of reasons outside of football. Coach Marrs has done more for getting his players to college than any other in the area, not to mention he assisted jake lilly in getting his highlight tape sent out, and the kicker from virginia high. every player from graham that has gone D-I either finished his career or has committed themself and stayed with it. the names you mentioned in damon, broyles, and brown, no longer play football. D-I is about committment as well as a love for the game. darius carper and torren byrd both had marshall's attention, darius took a full-scholarship at D-II which is very great for him and was also HIS decision. and torren is deciding between carson-newman (very good D-II school) and marshall. stop looking at the last name and judging.
Yea we were we had all the size we needed but we lacked the mental aspect of the game we were soft last year we have to be more mean and agressive this upcoming season
G-girls give it all you got for the entire game win or lose i am proud of all of you never quit just keep fighting and remeber hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. good luck and have fun!!!
im talking about the kid who transferred to richlands from tazewell. people is doging him (no pun intended) he made that choice only time will tell if it was the right one thats all im saying cause i don't know the whole story
hey everybody has there reasons of why they did things we may not agree with them but ultimately we have no control there is no need to hold grudges lifes to short for that you just have to take care of yourself and the rest will fall into place.
It's always hard to take a loss especially when it ends your season but for me this year was an absolute blast I don't think I have ever played on a team that had so much togetherness. I can truly say that I love these guys they are not friends to me they're family not only the players but the coaches as well. It's just hard to believe its over for now. And I can't say enough of how well mannered and sportsamanlike the hurricanes are I wish them the best. Last but never least Jason and A.J. it has truly been a blessing playing with you two. Yall were the heart and soul of this team this season.Even though G-MEN may not be written across your chest it will always be written across your heart. Thank you guys for yalls leadership believe it or not you two taught me more than i ever expected this season I love you guys and i pray that you do and become whatever you desire in life. Its been a fun ride, and for us upcoming seniors, juniors, sophmores, and freshmen there is a job to be done!!! And to Coach Carlock, Coach Palmer, and Coach Williams thank you for your dedication and persistence through the highs and lows of this season. On behalf of the Graham High School Basketball team thanks to everyone.
HELLO WORLD let me put my 2 cents in. I just want to say thank you to GMAN and __________ for all their criticism. I was taught don't get mad get even. Remember this is a message board full of personal oponions. They think Graham cant make it thats ok because if you're successfull regardless of what you do sports or not you will always have people who will dislike your success. ENVY is a terrible thing. If the G-MEN were to do what they and others deem impossible. They would be the ones congratulating them on what they have accomplished G-MAN has already "Manned-up",;but yet lacks confidence in the G-MEN and personally his oponion of Graham isn't worth 2 cents. Graham is going to continue to do what they've done all year. I hope Graham hears more criticism because criticism = MOTIVATION!!
i think farve just likes all the attention that he is getting when he says he is going to retire. but if he does he's just going to come back with all emotional
Graham trio inks on dotted line
