  1. I agree one thing i will say is that their QB has changed a lot since last year from soph to jr so i think people will be surprised. Now as for WR for lebanon I know for a fact (i may be a lil bias) that are pretty awesome. One may not get alot of credit but he can catch it wherever it is thrown good or bad. One advantage that Pioneers do have is Heckford I think everyone is going to be surprised. Now Honaker does have the size advantage but Lebanon has some speed. So this is the first year in a long time that i think it will be pretty evenly matched. We will see! I just wish everyone a safe game with no injuries and parents keep their tempers in check!

I knew about the Heckford kid being an apparent beast! Good test for Honakers O-Line right off the bat!!! I'm thinking last year was a decent game, not a blowout by any means, Nick Smith was definitely the playmaker in that game, if I remember correctly. This game hasn't seemed as heated in recent times as it used to be. Honaker seems to have more of a rivalry with the likes of Haysi these days. But IMO it's ALWAYS nice to beat the good ole PIONEERS...lol. Agree with the safe game and the parents tempers!!!! I love to see a good ballgame with two teams playing hard, gettin' ALL FIRED UP, but still show good sportmanship!!!!

  2. Just wanted to wish all the teams and their athletes good luck this first week and I hope they all come out of their games healthy !

Also I want to wish all the fans and the teams that have to travel to the games a safe trip to and from the game !!

High school football.........it just doesn't get much better than that !!!

    Right back at ya Bigrhsfan!!!

  3. I read Lebanon has won the last 5,from everything I hear and read Honaker should have a real good shot in this one any thoughts?

Seems both teams have some ??? about their O-Line ... Edge goes to who can keep the pressure off the QB and give him time to hang in and do something with it and which line will open the holes (as with any game i guess) ... Honaker sounds better than BIG RED at the QB position and J.Honaker can flat run the ball, esp when he gets in open space, so if the line can step up and get a push the Tigers may very well get a W ... You never know when the Russell County boys get together, could go either way! Don't think it will be a blowout either way, should be a very competitive ballgame!

  4. I seriously think TV does have a slight chance against Haysi and Grundy but I also think that Honaker and Hurley arent out of reach of Haysi and Grundy. There may be an upset or two this season in the BDD and I dont know if any team will go undefeated in district play

Don't know much except what I've read on here about Grundy, but anytime Honaker and Haysi play, it's close (esp. at Haysi)! Doesn't matter what kind of team they have!

  5. pass defense is probally worse than normal and you kno how thats been in the past

well... hope they find somethin soon... but doesnt sound good for tomorrow night!!!! but it is a scrimmage basically...hopefully learn somethin from the CWOOD game!!! that would be a win..... sorda...lol!!!

  6. honaker lost some pretty beefy players up front but has had several spent a good bit of summer in the weight room.i know its just a scrimmage but winning this game would be a good boost facing the opening game with the pioneers at L-TOWN.i guess keeping check on the score at the time clintwood pulls their starters would give u an idea of how the game would go if u were playing for keeps

How is the O-Line stackin up this year for the Tigers with what they lost? I know HHS has a decent QB and a good TB returning! I just was wondering with the talk of a good passer at CWOOD, how is the pass defense? Honaker struggles a bit with that regularly it seems!

  7. im surprised with the consolidation that only 47 st. paul students are attending eastside. I know in previous threads it was talked that alot of st. paul students were russell county residents, but I was wondering if anyone had the castlewood numbers from last year compared to this year or where can i find it?
