VHSLhelper 571 Report Share Posted February 25, 2006 After three 2-and-out's in the past 7 years, a young lady has finally picked up a win at the VHSL state wrestling tournament. First, it was Shawsville's Andee Sears in 2000, then, last year, both Hadley Perona from Wytheville & Herndon's Firen Gassman were unable to out-point the guys. Firen, who's just a Soph., made it back this year as the #4 seed from the AAA Northern Region at 103. After losing her opener, she picked up a 10-7 decision in the first consolation round before being eliminated in round 2. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
