MavsRock 21 Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 ...Than Sense: http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=sh-yankeesopener040108&prov=yhoo&type=lgns A-rod is making more money than the entiire Florida Marlins roster. In a related topic, who beat the Yankees last time they went to the World Series? you guessed it. Bottom line is the Yankees are arguably the most under-acheiving team in sprots the last 4-5 years. Only thing that's getting you less bang for your buck these days is a gallon of gasoline.
GetMoney55 11 Report Share Posted April 3, 2008 the Yankees have the best team paper wise, but when you look at it, Id take Dan Uggla from Florida anyday over Robinson Cano and for regular season production, Id take Hanley Ramirez over Jeter (I say regulation season production but as far as leadership goes, you gotta take Jeter). These kids are very, very young for the Marlins and are the same players that were brought up far too early two years ago when Florida needed some help. Hanley and Uggla are rising stars and the Marlins are once again building a World Series team of young players who play for the game, not a pocket of change. With that said, it also means they are planning to win that World Series and then trade everyone off for some more prospects, a few guys that have never done anything to begin with, and win another World Series in 4 years. :]
