Personal foul targeting call total BS. It's 4th and 15 if the ref doesn't blow that call. Yes Haysi did what they had to do after that. Heck of a call to go for two and the win. If these teams played each other ten times it would prob come out 5 wins for each. BAD call gives Haysi the edge in this one

Wow... Great game by both teams. I was pulling for Haysi but hate to see a game decided by one ref. the personal foul targeting call was a joke. Same ref called pass interference from the other side of the field.

Galax is strong in their front seven. Very physical. I haven't seen Haysi but they better have good corners and outside linebackers. If Dixon gets the edge he is hard to catch. That being said their defense is a little suspect. They gave up a couple of big plays to PH and gave up almost 400 total yards. Don't know who wins but being from swva i say Go Tigers!

Words can't describe how I felt Friday night. Definitely the greatest game I've been a part of as a fan and a parent. These kids are amazing. They fell behind early but didn't just give up. The difference in the game was PH going to the Wishbone on offense. I bet they ran the toss sweep left at least 7 or 8 times in a row because Cwood just couldn't stop it. Great running by Humphreys And Great blocking by the big guys!

Not sure about Bath County's Veer but yes PH runs it also. Like the guys said earlier in the posts, Coach Palmer runs a multiple offense. I take it your a Grundy fan?

Someone said they thought this was 1st meeting for these teams. Good article in BHC and tricoties.com on the Rebels and their motivation for this season. Win or lose this will be a season these young men never forget.

How long a trip from PH to Clintwood on buses for tthe team?

They line up in a pistol set the majority of the time with a 1 and 2 back set. They have another rb besides Humpbreys kid who is a strong downhill type runner. He started for them last year but had a shoulder injury early this year. The Davenport kid has good speed and will be key to slowing down their passing game. The other wideout is 6' 6" so he creates some matchup problems. They also run the wishbone some but they didn't against Northwoods and I doubt they will against Cwood

Took a beat down from Marion after some early turnovers and lost to a good GW team after jumping out to an early lead.

RiverRat24... Don't know how old you are but I'm wondering if u remember those great GC teams in the late 70's and early 80's. I went to the Graham Gate City game in bluefield when The Seavers guy played and he was amazing. I'm thinking it was around the 77 or 78 season.

After what these young men have been through this past year making the playoffs and getting the chance to play a team like Clintwood is icing on the cake

The chances of PH winning could be 1 in 10 but they have a chance. Not gonna get into a back and forth with a PH hater.
