The original post was correct and arranged with coaches, then the Powers that be got a hold of it. Take the rest for what its worth. From what I was told Bluefield was willing to switch & play at Tazewell on Friday night. Also look at Riverview & Bluefield they both have 6 home games in the fall if I am correct. I would bet there is not another 2A team in the state that has a 5 game away run. Hurry & get your applications in for athletic director at THS, window is closing soon.
After reading all of these posts, it appears that the Tazewell football program needs an outsider to come in. Kevin S., no disrespect intended, is definitely not the man for the job. Barry Jones is one heck of a coach, but VRS could be a problem. You need someone who doesn't know the parents or political connections. Someone who has the experience and knows how to handle the parents, etc.
Like I posted before, I know someone who would be what Tazewell needs. Might take the job if he can bring 2 of his assistant coaches along. One other thing, these 3 characters hate losing.
Sounds like what Tazewell could use, get them some applications.
Does anyone know how to get in touch with the guys who ran MyGameFilms.com I would like to buy some of their material. When schools got involved with them they sent their films to them but they never came back, so in theory they are gone forever. These guys have a treasure trove of high school football history. Any help would be appreciated.
Her are some stats that I have researched & archived for years:
Richlands since 1926 : W-482 L- 349 T-33 .577%
Graham since 1926 : W-501 L- 343 T- 41 .589%
Tazewell since 1926 : W-463 L- 383 T-29 .546%
They are Complete All the way through the 2014 season. Also the reference site above (www.vhsl-reference..e.com archives/) is great but it has a lot of gaps & missing data.

Jones brothers, Miller, Bradshaw, & the rest are all deserving. Here is some I can think of as deserving in their own way--- Ed Clark (Appalachia - the Jones boys Uncle), Travis Clark (Appalachia), Mickey & Phil Rodgers (Gate City), John Rainey (Tazewell). I am sure there are others missed.
And should also mention Merrill Gainer who coached at Big Creek High & Bluefield High on the WV side. His record at those 2 schools alone was a combined 166-22-5 with I don't know how many WV State championships.
Did you see that -- went old school on you !!! LOL
2017 schedules.
