Speed and talent will be the difference in this one. FC has size but lack in team speed. Graham is speed. 2A better look out the GMen are no joke.

Well said and RH is the top dog right now. And you are spot on with matchups this year. GW and Galax shouldn't have to leave home until the semi's or the finals. That will benefit both teams and it will also help that they shouldn't meet up again unless it's in Salem. And if by some extreme miracle fc did beat Graham they would probably jump Hurley to. Things can shake out very different than they are right now. But GW and Galax should be 1 and 2.

You are a true fan and all of us respect that and your passion. And none of are saying this stuff to down Hurley. But you have not seen teams like GW and Galax this year. GW is absolutely massive with team speed everywhere and subs for days. And Galax is methodical and only focus on moving you and scoring. And once they have a lead they drain the clock. Dixon is a wizard with what he has. Hurley is capable of making a run just like anyone else but it will be a culture shock if they come to GW.

Exactly Ryan if things went chalk. The 4 comes to 1 which would be fc at GW and 3 comes to 2 which would be hurley at Galax. If they don't then the lowest seed comes to the highest and the next 2 play each other.

Leather Head has probably seen a few GC vs GW games at legion and at GW. He can tell you how we travel to hostel territory.

Well seeing that you haven't played anyone in the top 10. I'd be surprised if you had and you're not the only one who wants that match up. And FYI it wouldn't happen in the semifinals. If by a miracle Hurley makes the semis they will go to RH. And haha is all I can say about that game.

No it won't happen because Hurley won't have the power points. Rider points alone will be there down fall come playoff time. I said it early on sos will matter in November. But conspiracy theories are a nice excuse for getting handled.

From the way things are right now and they could change. Hurley would go to Galax in round 3. If Galax jumps GW then Hurley will come to GW.

I really don't think it matters where it's played. If everything is on the up and up the players will decide the outcome. So a field will make no difference GW travels very well when it an important game. So does Galax long drives don't bother us. Especially when it is a new place.

Round 3 will probably tell us who is really at the top.

What is your honest opinion of how a game between Hurley and Galax or GW would go. If played at Galax or GW?

Yes it is and 2.5 is a lot longer of a trip when traveling to a place that can be pretty hostel. GW and Galax fans will get after you and your players. Ask RR about GW fans filling up the end zone and talking to the players all night.

I don't doubt for a second that Hurley will come to play. But they will not have the horses to keep up for 4 Qs. They will not be ready when teams can actually play with them. What is there team numbers? And what is the average line size?

Yes they did and played Galax close. But this isn't last year. I don't think anyone is saying Hurley isn't an ok team. But 90% of the people are saying they aren't a true contender. Many of the folks that are fans of far swva football are saying Hurley has a starting 11. After that it falls off quick 11 good players will not beat teams that are 2 and 3 deep.

People can say what they want to. But Hurley will not like running into the real competition. Galax, GW, Sussex, PM, RH, Essexs. Are 6 teams that would probably lay it on thick and fast. There is a huge difference between those 6 and Grundy and Castlewood.

I could definitely see this happening Essex has played by far the toughest schedule in 1A. People see those 5 losses and say they are done but I don't think they are.

That could play up and there showing against GW and PM could spell trouble. But they did beat Galax so they are capable but which team shows up?

Mine is basically identical to yours. With the exception of GW at 1 and PM at 3 in the west and Essex at the 4 in the east. I think they can make a run like Galax did last year. I'm not saying they are a state contender but they can be in the top 4 of the east.

What is everyone's current take on 1A? Who's is your top 4 in the West and East? And who do you have in the semifinals?

I'll add them that will put them at 180. And no I do t think they will help them much.
