After all the hype all season that said the M7 tournament would be wild and woolly, all the top seeds prevail in their first round matchups and by decisive margins as well.
Lee High is also locked in at M7 #4 and will travel to Graham in first round of Region 2D.
Why are we locked in 4th? I thought we we're in 5th?
I would say that you haven’t watched Turner during the halftimes, he was on his team to wake up, truth is this they are wore out, no easy weeks off , no breaks since July . It will be fine no matter what seat we land at , I think 1—5 will all have a chance at region D and Turner will let them heal rest and get ready for a playoff run
Martin and his staff had winning seasons 4 out of 5 years, and made the playoffs all those years. He also didn't kiss up to the school board and they ran the program the way they wanted to, the right way. He was fired because the good ol boy system and they had to get a coach that was best friends with all the school board members. The lame excuse they used for firing him was that he was a bus driver and they wanted the football coach to be someone that was at the school all the time. Averaged over 60 kids a year on the team those years, now can barely get 35 8-12 grade. That's why Lee will never turn the program around because they don't care about results just making sure all their buddies have the job they want.
How is the new coach acclimating to the players and vice versa? Is he a keeper (assuming they would keep anybody)?
what kind of system is he trying to implement?
Numbers are down of course. Lacking talent it seems. I'd say he will eventually leave. The first half of the game yesterday went well but the players were gassed. I'd like to see Lee back in the playoffs sooner rather than later but we will see.
If the parents were okay then the team would have less drama to worry about.
I also wanted to take this time to apologize for not getting last week's poll results out. As some of you know, I had a particularly bad mental health episode last week, which left me unable to finish the poll. I am happy to report that I am doing better (though not quite 100%) thanks to the power of prayer, counseling, and a medication change.

The talent level at at Lee now is lower than it has been in several years.
I would agree. I'd say Martin had the best talent Lee's had in at least a decade. The only place Lee can go from here is up; won't be a pretty season though.
