I've been keeping up with this topic for weeks. I am not taking sides but I will say this. Will is the starting QB, Eric is doing a great job on D. The team is playing with heart and great chemistry, so as fans I wish everyone would back the Bluefield Beavers the way they are. As a player you DO hear the shouts from the stands and it is disheartening. There is nothing worse than being a young high school athlete and hearing insults from classmates, young alum, and even adults. Players will make mistakes at this level, NO ONE is perfect. I agree with Rules, they are playing with great chemistry, lets just be fans and get behind them.

May have been a case of 1st game jitters. You had the shots on goal, they were just a bit wide or high. Hank is a good coach, but I wish he would get you all more active and crash on corner kicks. Good luck this season, we'll be up to cheer ya'll on against Blacksburg.

You are exactly right Buzz. I graduated 22 years ago, and have been to Mitchell and most road games every Friday, been at BHS gym and BSC for basketball, and made every trip to Wheeling and Charleston for tournaments. My Son is on the Soccer team so thats another 20+ games I got to attend. Baseball is right around the corner, so as you see we Alumni never rest. It won't be the same for you guys because you wont be sitting in the student section, but you can be there to support future student athletes sitting as close to the student section as you can and being loud.

Great game tonight! I want to first congratulate the team for an outstanding win. You guys are great to watch. Chance really stepped it up tonight. Secondly I want to say congrats to our student section. You always do what you are supposed to do, cheer on the team, and I applaud you for that. Don't ever stoop to PHS's level what ever you do. Principal Akers has no control over that student section, he is a joke as a principal.

Doesn't look good for OJ. His non-stop bickering with refs, then actually touching a ref which is a no-no. We all remember that from football and basketball, touch equals ejection.
