  1. I went and watched tazewell own richalnds in the swd title game and richlands made the regional championship and tazewell didnt, odd...Is tunstall that good or did tazewell just have a off night?

So did tazewell make the state playoffs or are they out?

Tazewell had an off night.. The coaching affected this one with the pitching.. Letting 5 runs in on one inning is too hard to come back from.. They do not make the state playoffs..

  2. What I want to know is HOW can the ACC change a rule from the NCAA's rule...7 players on the line of scrimmage. That is a FUNDAMENTAL rule at all levels of football and could very possibly come back to bite an ACC team in the arse in a non-conference game...

Don't know if its going to look like a JV game...beginning to sound more like an arena league game...now if they'd just allow forward motion behind the line of scrimmage...

    It is an NCAA Rule..

  3. yeah but are u saying that the winning the coppinger is meaningless to. And plus its also tazewell/richlands no matter what sport it is you always want to win.Right?

Winning the coppinger doesnt get them into the playoffs.. Winning the district does. Why waste the best pitcher on a game that cannot advance your team into the playoffs?

  4. The latest series is Richlands +6 not +7...

Tazewell won in 2003 and Richlands won since with one playoff win..

    2003 T 12-10

    2004 R 21-00

    2005 R 27-03

    2006 R 61-00

    2007 R 49-14

    2008 R 14-00

    2008 R 28-27

Since 2000 the series is 8-2 Richlands with an overall score of 266-92.

I think the overall series was taken over by Richlands with the playoff win, not for sure though.. Someone should put it on wikipedia haha..

  6. VMI won the 1st game 78-58..

Radford won the 2nd game 94-86..

The 1st two games were split with VMI winning 87-72 in the Dedmon Center.. then Radford winning 97-90 on the road..

Radford vs VMI on saturday im pretty sure on ESPN 2.. not for sure what time but it'd be nice to see them get in..

  7. At Dedmon Center

No. 3 Liberty vs. No. 2 VMI, 6:00pm

No. 4 UNC Asheville vs. No. 1 Radford, 8:00pm

Previous meetings for UNCA and Radford, RU won both 98-88 OT and 66-65 in Ashville... Should be a great game to see.. I'd like to see Radford win it..

  8. it makes sense.. what kind of lineman would run downfield on a fake fieldgoal?? its always the ends and wings.. In kicking formations there are ALWAYS number exceptions, but the inside guys are still inelgiable due to positioning (being covered up by another player).. and if you run a fake punt on 3rd down and a lineman is downfield then u deserve to be pentalized.. If your punting on 3rd down your either up by alot or u want to pin the other team(which i havent seen in high school football many times), the coaches are just going to have to tell their players not to jump the gun and wait for the kick..
