i don't see herbert hoover beating bluefield. herbert hoover isn't that good and bluefield will be fired up after last weeks loss to mt. view. this is an easy game for bluefield compared to their final two games.

i for one don't think the single wing is all it is cracked up to be. no doubt it has come a long way at JM from its inception 3 or 4 years ago but the single wing in and of itself doesn't win ballgames. this game isn't about the single wing. both teams are talented. it will come down to whoever makes the fewest mistakes and it will be a close game. both teams have quality wins. MV has beat bluefield and south point. JM beat lincoln a AAA school and wyoming east who only lost by 14 to scott. tomorrow night will be a hard fought game between to of south west virginia's top AA schools. go mavs

we have only been a school for roughly 10 years for one thing and peterstown who merged with union to make james monroe has a trophy and went to states several times.

correct me if i'm wrong, mt view has never won a championship either and has only been to states once and that was 16 years ago.

my bad on the 04 season, it was 98-99, 99-00, 02-03, and 05-06. i'm not going to get into the mud slinging. you guys keep talking and we will see where everyone is when the smoke clears in two weeks.

not to be too arrogant but i'm seeing Mt. View coming to lindside still high from beating bluefield and not playing there best game. bluefield on the other hand will be cocked and loaded for hoover after their loss. two tough weeks for the mavs but two games that we can win and that would mean a fifth undefeated regular season since 99 but it won't come easy.

I am not going to argue because i have appreciated the respect that has been shown between both bluefield and JM fans this season more than it has any other year. I gave bluefield the respect due them in my comment and i believe that they will have something to say about who goes to wheeling but so will JM, Scott and others.

Bluefield always plays their best ball when it counts, there is no disputing that but they haven't been tested yet this year. Locking anyone into wheeling at this point in the season is a foolish statement that has no merit. On a side note, I remember Weirfootball saying last year that teams like Weir and Bluefield don't rebuild they just reload, it looks like Wier will be reloading at home during the post season this year lol.

it is looking like bluefield and JM will be in the mix late in the playoffs as usual. they will both finish the season playing several tough teams. JM plays liberty raliegh, bluefield, mt. view, and greenbrier east. bluefield plays hoover, JM, Mt. view and scott. both should make the playoffs and could potentially have a high seat. and don't count out bluefield and JM's first meeting as the only one of the season. hopefully this year if they meet in a rematch it will be in wheeling. it would be nice to see to southern teams at wheeling.

i like the picture of us sacking their QB, that is a nice shot. oh, does anyone know who it was that lit up number 34 just before half. 34 got rocked, it was a nice hit. and yeah the sign on the fence says it all about east's fans. respect to the players of east, some of your fans need to grow up.

Good hard faught game by both teams. East throw a bomb for a TD on their opening play of the game. After JM dominated the first half. The second half momentumn went back and forth. We had a couple of bad calls that stalled some drives. For example, we had a holding penalty on a play when we were punting and they didn't even return the ball. That didn't stall a drive but that was just an example. We also made some mistakes as well like stupid delay of game penalties. Both teams faught hard and are good ball teams. We need to play better if we are going to beat Mt. View and Bluefield but a win is a win. Look for the Mavs to move up in the poles this week. As a side note, east's fans, mostly the young people, were some of the biggest jerks i have ever seen.

Was anyone else aware of the fact that Scott hasn't given up a single point all year?? True the only team that they have really faced that is very good was wyoming east but that is still pretty impressive. Looking down the road with the exception of liberty raliegh they may not give up any point until their final game against bluefiled. I don't see them shutting bluefield out.

yeah, my thoughts exactly. East looked pretty impressive last night and as you said they always play us tough. the game against lincoln was much needed. our guys needed to have to fight for a win. i also want to give a shout out to our defense. our high octane offense gets a lot of credit and rightfully so but our defense has done a great job as well. they have only given up 16 points all year and i believe most of those were on second string. great job Mavs, get ready for the next four games becasue they will be tough. by the way photoguy, how did jason look friday coming off his injury and all.

lol good call jets. while the big east is certainly not one of the strongest football conferneces in the nation, the ACC isn't too impressive this year either.

Has anyone heard if jason will be able to play against lincoln this friday? I know someone said he had a hip pointer.
