Lebanon's schedule I give lebanon credit. They are 9-0 and beat from what i have been told a good GW Team. They also beat a very good Tazwell team which I think has gotten alot better throughout the season and may have given Richlands and Lebanon a better game later in the season. But thats the way it goes. Honaker i do not believe is a very strong team and do believe Lebanon should have worn them out. do not know why the did not. Other than that I cannot see were lebanon has faced any other really good teams. Chilhowie the third place team in your district you beat 21-0 who just got passed Rural Retreat 20-16, Lost to the 5th place team in your district 28-6, just got passed Northwood 20-16 (which could not beat Marion), beat marion 21-20, and just got passed John Battle the sixth place team 21-18. John Battle was destroyed by both abingdon and VA high by a combined score of 89-20. And every team in SWD beat both Abingdon, Marion, and Va High by a combined score of 419-81. And Richlands beat each of those SWD teams pretty handly 21-0, 39-14, 25-9 26-3. Your third place team could not even come close to beating 2 of the 3 in the Highlands. Richlands has played Gate City one of the top rated schools in the state (playoff bound), we play Tazwell(playoff Bound), Grundy (#1 in Region Playoff Bound), Abingdon (weak but destroyed your 3rd place team) Grahm (playoff bound), Lee (just awful), marion (weak but beat 1 of 2 teams in your district), VA high (Playoff bound) Carrol Co (playoff bound) and yes Lebanon (playoff bound). 7 out of ten teams headed to playoffs. All five from district headed to playoffs with winning records. Lebanon plays four teams headed to playoffs including Richlands. How many in their district. just one. The other six its their last week of football. But that's not lebanon's fault they have to play these other district games weak or not. But please do not say that your district is one of the toughest in the are, because after one and two it is pretty weak. But that does not matter anyway. All that matters is that both teams are really good and of the best teams in southwest va in my opinion. Tonight both teams better show up. I believe Gate City will beat JI Burton. Just giving a worse cast scenario for Richlands. Gate City Wins better for us. Good Luck

i agree I think playing those tougher teams not only increases your points if you win but toughens you up for the playoffs. It also makes for more exciting games. The last couple of richlands games have not been very exciting. Except for the third quarter of the VA High game. Also not disrespect for Bluefield fans and players for the previos post Just do not get were richlands has been as inconsistent as the SOURCE stated.

I've got a question. They say this is an important game for Richlands to win because of homefield advantage. I was looking at that and i do not see how richlands could not get homefield advantage even with a loss. Richlands has 198 points right now with one game remaining. Basset has 142 points with 2 games remaining against Tunstall and Dan River. In a worse case Scenario: Lebanon beats Richlands. Richlands will still get 12 points from lebanon. 1 for each win by lebanon and 2 for losing to Dvision 2 team. Get nothing from Gate City if they lose to JI Burton. None From Tazwell for losing to Honaker. 2 from either Grundy or VA High, 2 from abingdon or marion 2 from CC or Grahm none from lee losing to bluefield thats 12+2+2+2=18 18+198=216 216/10=21.6 Maxium Basset points: (winners could be different but points would stay the same) beating tunstall will give them 16 for winning plus 8 points for each win if they win out with a 4-6 record beating Dan river will give them 15 points plus 4 points for each win if they win out with a 2-8 record. Don't get me wrong bluefield has a great team this year, probably the best around. I've not seen them play. Probably would beat richlands this year. Iconsistent,though. Going on the last two times richlands/bluefield played. Bluefield beat richlands 17-14 in which somethings happened that i will not talk about. The previous year the score was you might say not even close. Richlands won 49-6. Maybe that is why blufield does not want to play richlands. Also if im not mistaken richlands has been in the playoffs with a winning record the last 5 or 6 years. I'm not actually for sure. But i would not give a reason of inconsitent to why bluefield and richlands do not play anymore.
