Everything said is true. We are pretty fast this year as usual. We run the shotgun spread with 4 or 5 receivers. Our QB is a freshman that is (amazingly) following in the footsteps of Vic Hall. We have a great running back in Teon Bennett. Everyone talks about the numbers we put up on offense but the strength of our team is our defense, which has pitched 6 shutouts this year. So what is the info with Gate City? They must have something going to be playing in the state championship game. Sounds like some people on here aren't giving them a chance but you best believe Gretna will not take them lightly. And as for the post about the coach being a prick & running up the score, whatever happened to playing till the final whistle blows? or does that just count if you are losing?

William Campbell is having a "down" year this year. With that being said a down year for William Campbell is like a pretty good year for most teams considering their tradition. I wish i could see this game but i have to go to North Carolina to watch Gretna play a 4-AA "powerhouse" as they like to call themselves. This game will be close in my opinion, if WC had the same team from past years going to WV i would say WC by 28 but like i said, a down year in Campbell County. I'm still gonna go with the home team (since they are only 20 minutes from Gretna) and say WC wins by 14.

Gretna has "advanced PE" as an elective during school. It is basically a class for weight lifting.

Hall has been hit LOTS of times. I will admit he took a hell of a hit today. I will give credit to Tazewell, them boys played till the clock was at zero, they never gave up. Ya'll have alot of heart, Tazewell will be a hell of a team in the next few years. As for the "not getting shot" comment, well...as long as you dont play Chatham High you wont have to worry about that because that is where the boy came from that shot someone down the street from the football field. My point is, stop sayin that dumb [censored] about the shooting at Gretna because you are clueless as to who shot & where they came from to shot.

Yea...good job on the "blame the loss on the refs". Alos, we are moving to single A because...well...we have # to be in single A. We play in a split district so we still play AA teams. I thought ya'll boys were rugged, hard hittin, and ruthless....I didnt see it. You wanna talk about "dirty players"? how about one of your boys stepping on the chest of a Gretna player. You all played a good game, but no where near as good as i was planning on.

LOL...You go right on ahead and "KICK THE [censored] OUT OF VIC HALL". He will run over you like he is gonna run all over your "dawgz". Now its gonna be even more of a joy to see the "dawgz" get walked. You are crazy if you think that "T-Town" even has a chance in Gretna tomorrow night.

Gretna is gonna walk the "dawgz" saturday. You will be facing a D line that the coaches have put together just for this game. Look for some "major players" to be on D. The "dawgz" will be ready to tuck their tales and run home before halftime. Watch out for the "one man team" as you all like to call us. I just cant wait to see the look on your faces when you find out that gretna is MUCH MORE than Vic Hall. MUCH MORE.

Ya'll have a safe trip down here and no need to bring a bullet proof vest as someone said. I should also mention that parking is very limited at Gretna. Most of the time when there are large crowds people park in the foodlion parking lot down the street from the school. If you are coming Friday night then you should stay in Rocky Mount, you have to come through there anyway if you take 220. It takes about 40 minutes to get from Rocky Mount to Gretna. I also advise ya'll to eat in Rocky Mount too because there aint too much to choose from in Gretna. Again, ya'll have a safe trip. Thanks for the link Lance

As i read through some of these posts i laugh at what some people say about Gretna. "a one man show" and junk like that. You may want to think again, but then again you will SEE it first hand come Saturday. Let me mention some of the names you will be hearing next Saturday.. Reco Reynolds, Horace Hubbard, Lamar White, Matt Short, Jason Myers just to name a few outstanding players besides Hall. You dont have to take my word for it. I am just trying to give a heads up because i want to get my moneys worth out of this one. Prepare to be amazed.
