I'm gonna have to be sort of a hipocrite here and go against what I've said about it not mattering what happened last season or over the summer. But, doesn't coming in 3rd in the Southeast U.S. say something? If a team that had some pretty tough competition coming from SWVA and make it that far in regionals I'd think that says quite a bit about the condition of softball in the area.

Back to the subject. Richlands j.v. isn't looking too good this year. We're not even sure if we'll have one. We had to move about seven or eight players up to fill the holes that 9 2004-seniors left.

I know people like to talk and argue, but it's pointless arguing. For instance, everyone from Richlands thinks Renia is the best pitcher in the district but Tazewell people will just disagree. An internet message board is not going to change someone's mind on who the best is, watching the girls play will. I'm just saying wait till the season starts and watch some games then get on here and talk your little fingers off, then you'll have some good strong statements. Most of the people on this board haven't seen a softball game in nearly a year, things are completely different. It's just no use arguing about player from last year, they're not playing, 2005 players are.

Richlands has a goalie from j.v. that we could move up but we also have 3 juniors and senior trying out for goalie. The spot is still pretty open.

Last year is over. It doesn't matter what happened last spring or over the summer. All of the schools have different teams with different players. What matters is what goes down when the season starts next month. If everyone keeps this bickering up no one will have enough energy to make it to first base. So lets just calm down and let the scoreboard do the talking in just a few weeks.

Fox Soccer Channel is channel 125 in the Richlands area.

They've won district 8 out of 9 years for one thing. But even if Graham has a hell of a team the other teams in the district are getting more talent on the pitch. They do have all the right in the world to be confident though, but being cocky is just no fun. Not saying GrahamDestoyer was cocky, but dangdung was. Graham does have a good chance of winning district, if I wasn't playing on another team in the district I would put my money on Graham too, but that still doesn't mean you should be cocky.

You, my friend are being cocky, and nobody like someone who's cocky.

Fullbacks steal the ball and then kick the crap out of it and just try to keep it off their half of the field. Midfielders are kind of a middle-man between the fullbacks and forwards. Forwards try to score, but midfielders score some, too. Goalie, of course just tries to keep the ball out of the goal.

Maybe it was just for the first that they were at the high school, we weren't lucky enough to make it to finals.

We didn't even use it last year in the tourney, or at least j.v. didn't. But I would love to use the complex and I sure hope we get to.

Usually there are 3 forwards(offense), 3 halfbacks(midfield), and 4 fullbacks(defense), and of course the goalie.

We're trying to start up a girls program here in Richlands. We always have a few girls on the team, more now than ever. I'm not sure we'll be able to get one started this year, not enough girls... yet. But, hopefully atleast by next year.

Don't go giving people's names out on the forum either. If they want people to know who they are they can say it themselves.

My favorite field in the area would have to be the castle down at Tennessee High, softest grass on a football field I've ever seen. But the favorite one I've played on would have to be the football field at Tazewell High.

started. Tomorrow marks the first day of spring sports practices, including soccer. I hope everone gets out to the pitch and works their buts off so we can have some strong competion in the SWD.
