they have had a nightmare start to the year. hopefully those guys will regroup and work thru the injuries. i'm still expecting a barnburner next week when they play richlands.

with marcum injured and grundy struggling, caleb jennings out with a fracture, and robert henry off to a great start i guess i will have to say henry will win it and by alot.

richlands, graham, and tazewell all have a good defense. don't really know much about carroll's at the moment, but after the 1st week grundy appears to be the worst. i'm sure they will improve but they haven't looked good so far.

yeah, stanton has has gone up 2 or 3 times on lob passes for receptions this year over smaller defenders. he's tough to defend.

i was extremely impressed with McCrackins running ability on friday night. I knew he was extremely strong but i did not expect him to show the footwork that displayed. he made several people miss him at times. i hadn't really expected to see him run much this year but am glad to know we have another weapon.

i personally think graham will beat martinsville by a couple of td's. I anticipate them being undefeated when they come to richlands.

i'm sure we won't hear trash talk from honaker cause their fans on here tend to downplay their team. you guys are the least cocky bunch on here. i expect a good hardhitting game and hope the blue bunch don't have a big head entering this one or we could be in trouble.

i was really impressed with richlands on both sides of the ball.....and i don't think the offense is even playing close to their potential......i have been really worried about the secondary but last night those guys were flying to the ball......i can tell we've got alot of speed back there and with experience those guys will get even better......simmons appears to be a hitter......the defensive line play impressed me.....reynolds, harrison, arms, payne and taylor all left some bruises...........and the fuller kid left the biggest one of the night...

if richlands had stayed in the spread offense on their 1st drive it would have been 42 - 0.

could you list the defensive starters??...

someone posted that grundy's marcum had broken his arm......anybody know where that came from???....its on virginiapreps AA forum.......i assume if it were true we would have heard it on here first.

and i do not think it will be a miracle if gc wins...BHC has them ranked ahead of richlands

you are right ........preseason has to be taken with a grain of salt.....although a lot of teams prospects are analyzed from them......its all we have til the games commence....can gate city win???.......without a doubt......will they win .....not so sure that probability is real strong

uum...from my perspective one picking gc by 10 is awhole lot more than rational thought should allow...so in that sense, one is ALOT.......and the fact that others have them winning by smaller margins....well, i realize sometimes the heart overwhelms the brain......

no way to take offense.....NO preseason ratings are official...it just lets you know how your team is being perceived across the state.......

with a big win this weekend richlands could easily move into the top spot....
