  1. J.J.Kelly hammers Patrick Henry tonight 51-14. The TRIBE had 5 TDs on their 1st 5 possessions. PH scored on a nice hookup to Groves, but that was it. The Indian defense continued to force sacks, interceptions,as well as had a safety,as well as blocked punt. The 2nd PH TD came vs the JJK scrubs on a controversial call on a fumble (the guy was down IMO). JJK's Lucas Kerns suited up tonight after his grandfather passed away just hours before kickoff, and he had a heckuva game, absolutely gashing the Rebel defense. 3 games-1 TD allowed by the TRIBE defense.

  2. get ready guys if things turn out like i expect tonight-i am going to have some fun on here 2nite! and the best part is if we win tonight we got the blues next week! good luck falcons!

We'll not see you on here tonight. The crickets will be a chirpin' lol

  3. That's a big "IF"....

Guess I'll look bad right along with you, because these folks really don't know do they? BTW: As a JJK man should be,I loathe the Black Raiders, and if he Falcons hung a loss on Norton,I'd GLADLY eat that crow, but it isn't going to happen.

  4. You guys are going to be in for a big-time surprise Friday night. These guys picking AHS by 2-3tds are making my sides hurt lol. Abingdon will do well if they stay within 2tds of Norton. That Raider defense is blazing fast and will knock your chinstraps off.

  5. Thats what its all about. I know Hurley isnt the best team in the area, but they are my hometown team. Kelly is looking

strong. What about the rest of the LPD teams Unchained?

Norton and Clintwood are strong as well, and PV is always in the mix. Appy is vastly improved as well. Pound is lin for a long season if the JJK debacle is any indication.

  6. They can't win the BDD thats why I asked that question. Haysi and Honaker will battle that out. I just think the cumberland would be a better fit for Hurley. They could win the CD this year if they were in it.

I'm not sure about Honaker battling for anything this year. Haysi will be Hurley's biggest obstacle this year IMO.

  7. J.J.Kelly has given up a TOTAL of 49 yards of total offense and a mere 4 first downs through 2 games (3 of those coming against the 2nd string). The TRIBE has registered 12 sacks, and has over 20 tackles for loss thus far. Kelly has also scored 3 defensive TDs. You simply cannot do it any better than that.

  8. What are some opions on this?

I'd be more concerned about winning the Black Diamond Distric if I were you (instead of a situation that isn't real). It's hard to tell really. The Rebs defeated CD squad St. Paul by 2,but Thomas Walker is the favorite to repeat as Cumberland champions. Who knows really? I'd happily settle for Hurley unseating the Tigers (whichever one of them) and nabbing BDD gold.

  9. Good luck with that one, I'm guessing that's always a tough road trip.

Better bring your pass defense, and be ready for anything. James Colley's Tigers will throw everything at you but the proverbial kitchen sink. He's by far the most unorthodox coach in the state.

  10. Guys after Friday night, you'll have to look back at this post and see that I am right. I like Abingdon, and wish them well, but I promise you, even in a year where they were hit by graduation, the Black Raiders will show the Falcons speed like they'll not see again. It's all about genetics, and those "Southside Scooters" can fly. Martinez Miles is getting serious looks by D-1 schools, and may very well be the best player in the state. I hope the Falcons give 'em hell, but it's going to be a long night for the birds IMO. Raiders by 14+

  11. St.Paul will be an entirely different team when their starting QB Tyler Phillips returns (should be next week). He is by far the best player on the squad, and one of the better signal-callers in the region. You can't mess around with an irregular heartbeat though (especially with the Sullivan South tragedy as a reminder).

  12. Since we are bragging on the youngin's,my son's 8th-grade (middle school) team traveled to Virginia High Monday evening for a jamboree. The future TRIBE defeated Abingdon 14-8,and Virginia High (middle) 8-6. These guys won the Southwest Virginia Division 2 league last year as 7th-graders. Things are looking well for B.I. Salyers and J.J.Kelly in the future.
