He made some unbelievable things happen.

And I believe Magnolia runs some plays out of the single-wing that are similar to Giles.

I have a question for the most auspicious football gurus on this board. I have been told that during the football pre-game radio broadcast for JM and Greenbrier East, it came to light that a father was reffing a game in which his son was playing. I'm not sure this was, in fact, the case, but if so,does it happen often? And should it? (It seems there may have been a questionable pass interference call that this particular ref made.) I am just curious if this situation happens often in high school sports. I would think a ref having a child playing in a game, whether football, basketball, baseball, etc., wouldn't want to call that game.

Well I hope we worked out of our system whatever was "bugging" us Friday night at GE, and it doesn't show up again, ever! Of course, East played us tough last year and, but for a failed 2-point conversion, would have won it. Tolsia, I'm sure, will come to play, and I hope we do too.

As my mamma taught me, that's rude, wherever and whenever it happens. I was at a girls' basketball game at Greenbrier East a few years ago, and a very good player was heckled by guys in the crowd who were standing, almost on the court with her, and they were saying some pretty ugly things. That's never right!

I hope the Mavs are 100% healthy, and I hope the game is a safe one for all.

I was shocked to see a Mt. View player (starter) walking through the visitor's side bleachers during the second half of the James Monroe/Mt. View game. I wondered how something like that could happen.

JM and Giles used to play. Not sure what happened to that series.

I believe JM plays Scott, Mount View, Shady and Oak Hill (all of which Bluefield plays) plus JM and Bluefield play each other. I noticed that Bluefield does not play Wyoming East, and since you have trouble scheduling games, is there a particular reason you don't? Is there a history between the two schools?

James Monroe has scrimmages scheduled on 8/13 @ 11:00 and 8/17 @ 10:00. Not sure of the opponents or location. (I believe one will definitely be Giles, though.)

They go Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

JMHS starts tomorrow, June 12.
