  1. Good point by olewave. These kids just want to show off. They have no self-discipline and do not understand the TEAM concept. All they care about is what each one of them does individually.
  2. I heard Ramey had hurt his knee during football and wouldn't be ready for basketball. Then again, someone told me that he couldn't handle football so decided to act like he was hurt.
  3. If Marcum can play somewhere, then good luck to him. I personally don't see how he can be out for a year and expect to come into a program and compete. It's hard enough to be out just for the summer and come back and get into the rythym of things.
  4. I agree about McCracken. He is a good quarterback for the area, but not outside of SWVA. I don't agree with all of the statements about which teams couldn't beat who. As rough of a season that Grundy is having, they would not lose to Hurley.
  5. who is returning from last years team
  6. I agree with you wave61. The boys do need to concentrate on the game against Oak Hill. I just wanted to give some input on the subject. I won't be able to make the game, but wish the Golden Wave good luck.
  7. [ QUOTE ] it helps when backs hit the hole instead of pussyfooting around..... [/ QUOTE ] I would agree with that to an extent. Something else that I thought of though was the other guard for Grundy. That freshman is one, but the other one doesn't seem to know what he is doing out there. At least in the two games I've seen them play. I don't know if it's a coaching issue or a not understanding the game issue. Whatever it is, I hope it gets taken care of before the Haysi game on the 10th. I will be there to watch the blue and gold that night.
  8. I don't think they use that weightroom very often. From what I've heard, they like to go to that wrestling facility they have and claim to lift. With the linemen, the Stiltner kid, in my opinion, is not the best they have. The Owens kid at center seems to have came a long way when I first say them play at Richlands and then again against Carroll. Also, that freshman kid (can't remember his name) has seemed to do fairly well from what I've been told. On defense, the Mitchell kid may be the most explosive one they have, but that's not saying a lot, because as it was mentioned, they are small.
  9. wildcat, you mean off. or def. line? Or both?
