Speaking from personal experience the band can not always play when everyone in the crowd feels like they should be playing. The start of the second quarter starts with them getting ready for the half-time show. Which at this point in time is more important to them than playing for the crowd. The past couple of years the band has gotten smaller than let's say 5 years ago but that has nothing to do with how talented these people really are or how they are doing and accomplishing many things that not every high school student gets to do. It's a shame that everyone only cares about the football team. Yes, they have and are doing great things but so has the band. May I remind everyone of last years season. I believe we went 54-0..we beat every band that we competed against. That's just as good as the football team. I'm all up for watching football and supporting the team, but the band deserves credit too. These kids are really talented. Good Job guys...I'm really proud of everything you have done!

Just because they have Richlands High School before their name people automatically associate us with everything that goes on in the school. Wrong. Yes, we support the school but they pay for nothing and I mean nothing. We pay for every single charter bus, every drop of gas, we pay the drivers, we do it all. We even raised all the money and donations to go to New York City in 2004 and march in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade. So Fresh_Prince before you get on here thinking you know everything you might want to wise up. The Band and the football team are TWO different things. Oh, and as for playing while they were on offense that's probably false. Trust me I know what I'm talking about. I was one of their leaders for two years. Just get your facts straight. And as for the band not knowing what is going on during a football game that's entirely false too!
