I understand this game is at UVA-Wise on the 23rd of June if anyone is interested in watching some local graduated seniors play one more time at the high school level. Not sure about game time yet. If anybody has more information, game time, rosters etc. please elaborate. My son, Joe Blevins has been invited and I'm looking forward to watching him play one last time.
Just checking if anyone has a bracket for next weeks tourney. I know Chilhowie has a 1 seed and Patrick Henry a 2 seed with Holston a 3 seed. This weather has sure wrecked havoc with district tourneys in baseball and softball alike.
Looking like a interesting match-up this coming week. Should not be a shortage of rushing yards looking at stats. What's everyone got on this game. I look for a high scoring affair.
Congratulations to Chilhowie and Marion for winning there respective Regional Volleyball titles. Chilhowie's only defeats so far have to defending state 2A champs Marion. Great work ladies. #makingsmythecoproud
Very little discussion on this matchup. I know Region D 1A is weak but should be a good game between #1 and #2 teams. What's everyones thoughts? I think the Warriors pull this one out due to tougher schedule........35-17 Anyone else care to elaborate????
I would say ya'll are right. It's a intense county rivalry and means bragging rites in our small community. I still don't believe as intense as years past. I look for a tight game with it being played out to the last second. I just hope both team come out injury free with the hopes of a successful season for both teams and by the way "GO Warriors"
Should be a good game at Chilhowie this afternoon with Fort Chiswell coming to Warrior Field. Both teams are fairing well so far this season and we should see a good game. Great afternoon for baseball.
Here we are close to 3 weeks into the season and to say the least things are dead. Their have been some surprises and great individual feats so far but no one is reporting anything. PH is having a great start and Chilhowie is doing well also. Abingdon is probably the class of SWVA as for what I've read so far. I hope it gets cranked up and more people will start contributing info and we can have some clean spirited discussions.
Will have to say Coach Harding was and no doubt still is a class act and hate to see him gone from the diamond. Never knew too much about him until the last couple years but I can say he was respected by the Chilhowie players and coaches as well. Good luck in the future Coach.
Well we've had our first week of tryouts/practice with the exception of those still basketballing so how is everybody looking? We had great weather for field practice and I was surprised as to how well some performed. Anybody have new additions, transfers or surprises that will contribute this year? Looking forward to the season and hoping we have as good of weather in March/April as we have in February.
I agree PH should be strong and give Honaker a run for conference title if things run as usual. With realignment coming next year I think Chilhowie will be in the mix also in the far-west.
I think Chilhowie will be improved and maybe challenge for the Conference 46 title. Pitching will be a question mark especially with the new pitching rules. Chilhowie has some talented underclassman that got some experience last season and should contribute. Looking forward to start of season.......What's the other Conference 46 teams got coming back?
I know Chilhowie hasn't got into the meat of it's schedule yet but I feel props to Matt Snodgrass for the job he's done so far. Chilhowie's Varsity and JV have just 2 losses between them.
I know it's a bit early but maybe spring time temps are teasing me. What does everyone think about the upcoming baseball season? Favorites, Transfers, Top returning players, Pitch limits.......ect.
