100% agreed...although when asking someone about the weak schedule I was informed they had problems finding any takers...allegedly contacted all TRD and MED schools with no takers...they even have to travel twice to Pound for every one home game...they do scrimmage Honaker and Abingdon....used to scrimmage Floyd and Giles you would think they could come to a agreement on playing for atleast a couple of years.

In a offense like Bland's or any option based offense he can be a factor but I don't think he is one of the area's top QB's....also I have never taken any shots at Bland or anyone else...I don't use this board to "talk big and bad" at my computer desk...by the way I am pulling for Bland to win there district...good luck the rest of the year.

Some people are trying to build him up but I have seen him twice in person this year...he would be the 4th best QB in the Hogo...not taking any shots here just being serious.

The BHC explains it pretty well if you could visit their websites..I was at the game just as an observer and it was the wildest ending i have probably ever seen in high school football. As far as the chain gang...well I dont think anyone noticed but on PH's last scoring drive they actually messed up their also. On first down their was a bad snap...2nd down a 6 yard run and a incidental face mask. They never changed it to 3rd down so another play was run on second down then 3rd down then they converted on what was really 5th down. To make things simple as far as the ending of the game the refs should have called a official timeout and got their crap straight. Points went on the board...one ref signaling touchdown while the other was marking the ball. The clock never stopped the whole time....just plain out wild...the VHSL owes Holston a huge apology period!

Ref's totally blew this one...did not call an official timeout to get everything straightened out. Clock never stopped even though points went on the board...horrible ending to a very good game...overtime would have been interesting.

As far as the Marion game not many teams can go into a game and open it up with 3 turnovers in their first 3 possessions and still come out with a win. Anyone there including Marion fans would tell you Chilhowie is 2TD's better. Also don't sleep on Marion...they will challenge everyone in their district this year...ask Graham. VA High will have a good year they have a solid team...but with all the talk of Chilhowie playing nobody will make for a big suprise come Friday. VA High 14 Chilhowie 20

Any thoughts??? Both teams are off to a good start...yes Chilhowie has played a weak opening schedule but after Abingdon's performance against Richlands, I think the benefit game win over Abingdon should have opened some eyes and made people realize that they are for real. VA High on the other hand has been challenged and played TN High tough last week...should be interesting.
