Holston came out of nowhere this year to finish 6-4 and appears to be headed for the region C div. 1 playoffs. Pretty good considering they went just 1-9 last year and lost one of the fastest kids in the state (Zack Titman). I believe the BHC said this is the first winning season at Holston since '95. Congrats to coach Matlock, he is doing a great job!!! What a first year!!!

I disagree. Bland has some pretty good quickness and a little bit of size. The basis for most of there success is because of speed. I saw them play at Holston and Holston had a tough time getting to the corner on them and they have two pretty fast backs. I have also heard that Eastern Mont. and Auburn had some pretty tough backs so I think Bland would have to be the favorite by a couple of scores.

Why didn't the Ref Give the Holston Coach a Time Out? He ran almost all the way to the end zone and even then he didn't acknowlege him!!! My perspective was that the down marker still read 3rd down when the QB spiked it. So the Ref on Holston's side not only didn't tell the down marker what down it was but didn't give a Time out. Instead of giving him a paycheck maybe PH's AD should charge him $5.00 admission. It was a good game by both teams I just hate that it had to come down to a series of calls made by a crew that would be better served calling a checker game down at Chilhowie's nursing home. But your right the Ending was a total joke...utter chaos. It was a good game to see on our off week.
